Seattle Theatre Group has announced five new Seattle-area schools that have been selected to participate in its fourth annual Disney Musicals in Schools program.

Artistic Director Robert Falls and Executive Director Roche Schulfer announce that Goodman Theatre will expand its Education programming into elementary schools with a $100,000 grant from Disney to bring the "Disney Musicals in Schools" program to the Chicago area.

Print Room at the Coronet has today announced its Autumn/Winter season, featuring: the London transfer from Theatre Royal Bath, of ground-breaking US playwright Alice Childress's courageous Trouble in Mind; Coronet International Festival, celebrating the work of artists from across the world; and Winter's Tales, a series of Christmas readings by friends and famous faces for children and their families. For the first time in its history, EVITA, this revolutionary Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical is being produced by Cabrillo Music Theatre. 

The story of Foster & Allen began back in the seventies when MICK & TONY were playing in Country Music bands around Ireland.  In 1975 they got together a small group and went over to the U.K. to work the Irish music venues on a short tour.

Dr. Phillips Center Florida Hospital School of the Arts announces the four local area elementary schools that have been selected to participate in the inaugural Disney Musicals in Schools program. Participating in the 2016 – 2017 school year are Bonneville Elementary (Orange County), Winegard Elementary (Orange County), Lake Orienta Elementary (Seminole County) and Kissimmee Elementary (Osceola County). At an Orientation event in January 2017, these schools will select the a Disney musical of their choice from the “KIDS” licensing collection. The rehearsals will officially start in January 2017, culminating with performances the following May.

BroadwayWorld learned that Caroline Bowman has replaced previously announced Jenn Colella in Vancouver Opera's spring production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA, running April 30 through May 8, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. The production also stars Ramin Karimloo as Che.
