LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, has announced that Steven Boyer, Jarlath Conroy, John Patrick Dougherty, Stephen Ellis, Richard Poe, Kristen Schaal, Jeremy Strong, and Christopher Evan Welch will be featured in its world premiere production of THE COWARD, a new play by Nick Jones, directed by Sam Gold, the first of LCT3's three productions during the 2010-2011 season.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin recently announced that Amy Corcoran will direct the Company's production of the award-winning Annie Baker play, Circle Mirror Transformation. The comedy runs November 4-21, 2010 in the Studio Theatre at the Addison Theatre Centre. WaterTower Theatre will celebrate its 15th anniversary with its 2010-2011 season.

For three decades, more than half a million admirers of A Christmas Carol have been delighted by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's annual production of Charles Dickens' holiday classic. This year, the Rep celebrates its 30th anniversary production of A Christmas Carol by refurbishing its iconic set and introducing exciting new elements to the show, which is directed by 29-year-old Kyle Hatley. A Christmas Carol runs November 19-December 26 at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus, and is produced in partnership with UMKC Theatre.

As previously announced, three Boston theatre companies will engage in a landmark local collaboration this fall to produce breakout writer Annie Baker's first three plays - Circle Mirror Transformation, produced by the Huntington Theatre Company (October 15 - November 14), Body Awareness, produced by SpeakEasy Stage Company (October 22 - November 20), and The Aliens, produced by Company One (October 22 - November 20). All set in the fictional town of Shirley, VT, the plays will run together in the first-ever festival dedicated to the work of this wryly observant young writer, which will be curated by the Huntington Theatre Company.

A series of collaboratively curated play laboratories, SuperLab will support the creation of bold, risk-taking new works by living American playwrights. Supported by funds granted to Clubbed Thumb by Metlife/Theatre Communications Group's A-ha! Program, created to foster creative thinking and action among its member theaters, these two like-minded companies will join forces to produce a six-play development lab. Clubbed Thumb and Playwrights Horizons, who share a commitment to advancing distinctive new voices, will bridge a gap between downtown and uptown theater sensibilities, methodologies and artist rosters, expanding the range of experience and opportunity for all.

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) present the world premiere of The Break of Noon by Neil LaBute starring David Duchovny, Amanda Peet, Tracee Chimo (Circle Mirror Transformation) and Tony Award-Nominee John Earl Jelks (Radio Golf). Performances began at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 28, 2010 and continue through December 12, 2010. An official opening night is set for Monday, November 22, 2010. The Break of Noon is a co-production with the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles (Gil Cates, Producing Director; Randall Arney, Artistic Director; Ken Novice, Managing Director).
