Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in a program celebrating John Adams's 70th birthday year, featuring John Adams's Harmonielehre and Absolute Jest - with the New York Philharmonic String Quartet as solo ensemble in its debut - on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m.; and Today, March 11 at 8:00 p.m.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the explosive Pulitzer Prize winner Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Tony, Grammy, and Drama Desk Award winner Billy Porter (The Colored Museum at the Huntington and Lola in Kinky Boots on Broadway). Celebrating 10 seasons of Roundabout Underground, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the sixth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Saheem Ali, Emily Feldman, Alex Lubischer, Don Nguyen, Ming Peiffer and Michael Thurber.

Lucky for all of us here in New Orleans, Mark Cortale is again bringing his Broadway in New Orleans series to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) beginning tonight at 7:30pm.  The first concert of the 2016-2017 series features an actor/singer who you may know from any number of Broadway shows such as LES MISERABLES, SHE LOVES ME, and most recently FUN HOME.  Or, if you grew up in the 90s like me, you may know her as the barefoot running, Native American, Disney princess Pocahontas.  Is "Colors of the Wind" anyone else's go-to road trip jam?

On Monday, September 26, 2016, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago was honored to welcome Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and original star ofHamilton: An American Musical, to its West Loop facility, the Hubbard Street Dance Center, located at 1147 West Jackson Boulevard. More than 160 invited guests included students and families participating in Hubbard Street's Youth Dance Programs; members of Hubbard Street's Junior Ensemble, Hubbard Street 2 and the artists of its world-renowned main company; staff members and special guests; individual and foundation supporters of its Education Programs; and Season 38 Spotlight Ball attendees who made donations at the organization's annual gala.

Sutton Foster has an exciting week ahead. On Tuesday, she starts rehearsals for the off-Broadway production of Sweet Charity and will appear on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. On Wednesday, season 3 of Younger premieres on TVLand. But even with her busy schedule, the two-time Tony Award winner still made time for a visit to the Jersey Shore, where she performed for 90 minutes at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal.
