PITTSBURGH – Performing in Pittsburgh for the first time since 1977, Randy Newman, whose music speaks to multiple generations, closes the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's Summer with the Symphony: Thursday Night Icons series on July 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Hall.

Rose Theatre Kingston today announces its most ambitious project to date - this autumn the Rose stage will be transformed into a battlefield for The Wars of the Roses, a gripping adaptation of four of Shakespeare's history plays, directed by Trevor Nunn. The productions will play in rep from 16 September until 31 October, with press performances for all three plays on 3 October.

Tony Award winner, Theater Hall of Fame member and legendary Broadway star Betty Buckley returns to Denver June 15-19 for the fourth consecutive year to teach her Song Interpretation & Monologue Workshop.

Beverley Knight is to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats to play the role of Grizabella.   Returning to the London Palladium from 23 October 2015, Lloyd Webber's record breaking Cats will run for a ten week season until 2 January 2016.  Tickets are from £20 with top price seats at £59.50 and children's tickets at half price for Monday to Thursday performances.

The Daily Mail writes that Andrew Lloyd Webber has picked Beverley Knight to lead the London return of Cats as 'Grizabella' this autumn. Not only that, but the famed composer cast her without an audition.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 7th at 8/9c hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. The 5th Avenue Theatre joins with producing partner Pasadena Playhouse in welcoming Emily Padgett (Broadway: Side Show, Rock of Ages), Thom Sesma (Broadway: The Times They are A-Changin', Man of La Mancha), J. After her sold out engagement last fall, BETTY BUCKLEY returns at the end of May for seven performances with a new show tailored specifically for Joe's Pub at The Public called Dark Blue-Eyed Blues. Her new collection of songs - running tonight, May 28 through May 31 - will feature 'Musings of a Chanteuse' and will include standards and songs by contemporary writers for some glamour, torch and comedy. She will be joined by Christian Jacob on piano, Tony Marino on bass, Todd Isler on drums and Oz Noy on guitar. Terry Gabis provides sound design.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has confirmed earlier rumors of Cats' return to the London Palladium. The Daily Mail reports that the musical will run from October 23, 2015 to January 2, 2016 at the venue.

This just in! La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its season opener, the world-premiere musical Come from Away, featuring book, music and lyrics by the Canadian husband-and-wife team Irene Sankoff and David Hein (My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley. A co-production with Seattle Repertory Theatre, Come from Away will run May 29 - July 5 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre (press opening Thursday, June 11).
