The Australian cast of the brand new production, Georgy Girl - the Seekers Musical, has been announced today with members of The Seekers in attendance. The much anticipated cast announcement was made at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the scene of The Seekers' record-breaking concert in 1967 that drew a mammoth crowd of more than 200,000 people!

he Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the continuation of a summer tradition of showcasing great genre classics to beat the heat. Following the tradition of last summer's popular "Midnight Movies" series, each film in the new "Freaky Friday" series will kick off the weekend at 11pm and have the same weekly blend of mind-melting, gross-out horror as well as some rarely screened classic cult favorites in glorious 35mm, curated by Film Society programmer and Film Comment Editor Gavin Smith.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. The Public Theater announced the line-up today for the 2014 free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 52-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joe Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community.
