Continuing their mission of developing new works and cultivating the next generation of playwrights, Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Artistic Director) will present a reading of David Koteles' The Cook's Tour, directed by Chris Henry. The reading will take place on Tuesday, February 8 at 6PM.The free reading will take place at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30 Street) reservations can be made by calling 212 421-1380.

New York Theatre Experiment will present the world premiere of this multi-media dark comedy, directed by Erik Pearson, on February 3rd at the Access Theatre, located at 380 Broadway. RESPECT, which has been continuously evolving since its debut as a one-woman show in 1999, is an entertaining, exuberant and exhilarating look at the lives of women as reflected in the popular music of the 20th Century. The show ran for over a year at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts in West Palm Beach and for six months at the Stage Door 26th Street Theatre in Fort Lauderdale, before ‘going on the road' and playing in multiple cities across the United States - including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, Green Bay and Minneapolis. Due to the unprecedented snow and ice in Atlanta, the dangerous road conditions caused by severe weather, and the closure of the Woodruff Arts Center since Monday, we are cancelling this Saturday evening's first preview performance of Bring It On: The Musical. Previews will now begin Sunday, January 16th with performances at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
