Featuring seven productions, New Rep's 2016-2017 season includes Regular Singing, the fourth and final play in Richard Nelson's Apple Family series, presented in collaboration with Stoneham Theatre; Good, CP Taylor's historical, political drama; Fiddler on the Roof, a revival of the Tony award- winning musical, featuring Jeremiah Kissel as Tevye and directed by original Broadway cast member Austin Pendleton; Thurgood, a one-man play featuring Johnny Lee Davenport as Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall; Brecht on Brecht, a play with music based on the collective works of Bertolt Brecht; Golda's Balcony, a one-woman play featuring Bobbie Steinbach as Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir; and The Gift Horse, a sharp comedy by nationally-acclaimed local playwright Lydia R. Diamond in a Boston-area premiere.

BroadwayWorld is excited to report complete casting for the New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist and Emmy Award nominated writer Rolin Jones and Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winning Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong's new play with music THESE PAPER BULLETS!, directed by Jackson Gay at Atlantic Theater Company. Much of the company carries over from the show's Los Angeles premiere.

'[Thank you] to an incredible cast of British and American actors who make the Atlantic look like a little creek you can just kind of pop across,' said Dame Helen Mirren upon receiving her 2015 Tony Award. The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway.  An unprecedented amount of British talent took over Broadway last year, bringing us such productions as THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, and SKYLIGHT.   It doesn't seem like the trend is ending anytime soon. This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

Westport Country Playhouse closed its season by honoring the centennial of Pultizer prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller with his 1994 play, Broken Glass. The title partly refers to Kristallnacht, the pogrom during which the windows of Jewish-owned homes and businesses and synagogues were smashed and nearly 100 Jews murdered during those attacks and 30,000 more were arrested and sent to concentration camps. However, it really refers to the broken spirtis of a Brooklyn couple.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a community engagement initiative, 'The Individual & American Society: Celebrating Arthur Miller at One Hundred,' September 24 through October 26. The series of events, many of which are free-of-charge, will run concurrently with the Playhouse's production of Miller's 'Broken Glass,' directed by Mark Lamos. The Tony Award-nominated play takes place at the time of Kristallnacht, The Night of Broken Glass, in Nazi Germany, as a Brooklyn Jewish couple's marriage begins to shatter.

Set in 1963 Brighton, England, One Man, Two Guvnors is a brilliantly delicious mash-up of splendid comedy, British pantomime, and music-hall revues. The uproarious plot features a disarming and doltish Francis Henshall who finds himself trapped by farce into working for two bosses - who are connected in wildly improbable ways. He just has to keep them from discovering each other. Inspired insanity, high-low antics, and nimble wordplay ensue - all backed by live musicians paying homage to rockabilly and a certain Fab Four. Directed by David Ivers - artistic director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival - and with songs by Grant Olding, One Man, Two Guvnors is a riotous blast complete with a colorful cast of characters in a topsy-turvy world of love triangles and mistaken identities. New Repertory Theatre announces its 2015-2016 SEASON: IDENTITY. Featuring eight productions in three theatre spaces, next season includes five plays in the Charles Mosesian Theater, beginning with Broken Glass, presented in celebration of the centennial of the birth of playwright Arthur Miller; A Number, Caryl Churchill's stark and startling drama; The Snow Queen, a new musical co-written and directed by former New Rep Artistic Director Rick Lombardo; Blackberry Winter, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere; and Freud's Last Session, a razor-sharp, witty, and much anticipated Boston Area Premiere. Our third annual Next Rep Black Box Festival will include two companion pieces whose setting is shared, but whose time is separated by 2000 years: Via Dolorosa by David Hare and The Testament of Mary by Colm To?ibi?n. The Festival will also include the Next Rep World Premiere of Baltimore by Kirsten Greenidge, co-presented with Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP).

To mark the Centenary of Arthur Miller's birth and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Richard Beecham will direct a revival of Miller'sPlaying for Time in the Crucible. Beecham directs Kate Adams (Helene), Noa Bodner (Esther), Pascale Burgess (Elzvieta), Imogen Daines (Etalina),Emma Darlow (Liesl), Holly De Jong (Schmidt), James Duke (Mengele / Kapo / Cellist / Paul), Amanda Hadingue (Alma Rose), Melanie Heslop(Marianne), Rebecca Jenkins (Varya), Kate Lynn-Evans (Mandel), Maeve O'Sullivan (Greta / Olga), Sian Phillips (Fania), Danny Scheinmann (Schmuel / Captain Heinz / Second Chess Player / First Trooper), Augustina Seymour (Paulette/ Music Captain), Christopher Staines (Commandant Kramer / 1st Chess Player / SS Guard / Kapo / Pianist) and Alexia Traverse-Healy (Mala / Tchaikowska). Completing the cast are 17 members of Sheffield People's Theatre - the theatre's intergenerational acting company from across the region.

After studying at Juillard (accompanied by colleagues such as Robin Williams and Kelsey Grammer), Conroy performed with both regional and touring companies in the 1970s. She spent time with the New York-based, critically acclaimed Acting Company, which has harbored the acting talents of Patti LuPone, Kevin Kline, Rainn Wilson, and many more. Conroy then took to the Off-Broadway stage as Desmonda in Shakespeare's 'Othello', appearing with Richard Dreyfuss and Raul Julia.

Opening tonight, May 28th at 7:00 p.m., Collected Stories runs Wednesdays through Sundays until June 21st.

Initial casting for Arthur Miller's The Crucible is announced. Richard Armitage, Anna Madeley and Samantha Colley are to play John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor and Abigail Williams in Ya?l Farber's new production at The Old Vic, with previews from Tuesday 24 June. The cast also includes Sarah Niles, Rebecca Saire and Zara White, with further cast to be announced.
