AN AMERICAN STORY for ACTOR AND ORCHESTRA, will feature a post-show talk-back discussion with creator, composer and star Hershey Felder and Dr. Daniel W. Stowell, Director and Editor of The Papers of Abraham Lincoln, on Saturday, March 16 following the 8 p.m. performance at The Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted. AN AMERICAN STORY tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's final day from the perspective of his doctor, Charles Leale, author of LINCOLN'S LAST HOURS, as well Dr. Leale's original report from 1865, which created an international sensation when it was discovered amongst Lincoln's papers in Washington, D.C. in June 2012. Felder and Dr. Stowell will discuss the historic significance of this discovery, as well as answer audience questions.

Rehearsals begin today for Bette Midler's return to Broadway in John Logan's new one-woman play I'LL EAT YOU LAST: A CHAT WITH SUE MENGERS, directed by Joe Mantello. In addition, Booth Theatre Box Office (222 West 45th Street) will begin selling tickets to the play this Friday, March 15.

Dancers Over 40 is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that celebrates the lives and legacies of dancers and choreographers. 'DO40 was created as a not-for-profit organization to provide a community of support in response to the fiscal - as well as physical - needs of mature dancers, choreographers and related artists. Its goals are to seek educational opportunities, present seminars, showcases, film nights, socials and panel discussions on topics important to mature dancers concerned about their ability to live and work in a creative environment and continue the legacy to those dancers about to begin their journey.' On March 4th DO40 hosted 'TAP! The Tapping Continues' at New York City's St. Luke's Theatre. The evening honored the toe-tapping legacies: the Radio City Rockettes and June Taylor Dancers.

The ReGroup Theatre Company is now presenting two powerful plays Off-Broadway by playwright John Howard Lawson, Success Story and Loud Speaker, as part of their "Reclaiming Names: The John Howard Lawson Revival" series. Both shows are at the Robert Moss Theater at 440 Lafayette Street in Manhattan and are running from March 5th through March 24th. Neither of these plays has been produced in New York City in decades.

Richard Bausch Receives Centenary's Corrington Award Tonight

BoHo Theatre to Stage HAUPTMANN, 3/22-4/21

BoHo Theatre presents Hauptmann, an examination of truth and media indictment, by lauded Chicago playwright John Logan. The production runs March 22nd through April 21st at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park. Hauptmann is directed by Founding Artistic Director Stephen M. Genovese, who directed the critically acclaimed BoHo productions of The Rainmaker, The Glorious Ones, Sideshow, and I Am My Own Wife. The production features Jeremy Trager in the role of Richard Hauptmann. Trager was recently seen in BoHo's productions of The Spitfire Grill and Tartuffe. Hauptmann represents the Bohemian Pillar of Truth in BoHo's 2012/2013 Season.

Baltimore Symphony Associates Announce 37th Annual Decorators' Show House

The Baltimore Symphony Associates (BSA) will host its 37th annual Decorators' Show House at the former home of legendary Baltimore quarterback Johnny Unitas and his wife Sandy. From Sunday, April 28 through Sunday, May 19, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the 24 designed spaces in the 1932 stucco home in Legend Hill. Parking is available at the Timonium Presbyterian Church located at 303 W. Timonium Rd., with complimentary shuttle service to and from the Show House. See below for detailed information.
