KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, called a?oeone of the greatest songwriters of all timea?? by Rolling Stone, AND THE STRANGERS are coming to the historic Pantages Theatre (710 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Kristofferson's mark on American music is undeniable. Among his songwriting credits are a?oeMe and Bobby McGee,a?? a?oeFor the Good Times,a?? a?oeSunday Mornin' Comin' Down,a?? and a?oeHelp Me Make It Through the Night.a?? He will be performing with THE STRANGERS, best known as Merle Haggard's renowned back-up band with original co-founding member Norman Hamlet, as well as Haggard's children Dana and Ben.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, and Angel Ysaguirre, Executive Director, has announced casting for August Wilson's King Hedley II, directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson. King Hedley II runs September 12 - October 13, 2019 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 7:30pm.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary edition of King of California, out June 28 on Craft Recordings, acclaimed Los Angeles-based artist Dave Alvin will embark on a 22-date U.S. tour beginning June 11, with an intimate conversation and performance at GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. Dave will share the stage with special guest and King of California producer Greg Liesz on nine dates, seven of which are already sold out, two new dates have been added in the Northwest. The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced the first 11 new shows to be added to its 2019 2020 season, continuing its tradition of showcasing a diverse lineup of chart-topping musicians, compelling dance companies, and groundbreaking storytellers. Chester Arthur Burnett, better known to blues fans as Howlin' Wolf, remains one of the essential exponents of the electric blues. Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.
