Billboard has shared that the family of the late artist Avicii has shared a statement on his sudden passing. The Swedish DJ and producer Tim Bergling, popularly known as Avicii, has passed away suddenly on Friday at the age of 28. Read more about it from Billboard here.

American Composers Orchestra continues its commitment to the creation and development of new orchestral music with the announcement of sixteen emerging composers who will participate in its catalytic programs. Six emerging composers will participate in the 27th Annual Underwood New Music Readings on June 21-22, 2018 at a location to be announced. Ten emerging composers receive 2018 EarShot New Music Readings presented by Fort Wayne Philharmonic (February 7, 2018), Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (March 1, 2018), and Jacksonville Symphony (April 20, 2018). EarShot is a partnership between American Composers Orchestra, League of American Orchestras, American Composers Forum, and New Music USA.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, continues its 2017/18 season with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner by Todd Kreidler (based on the screenplay by William Rose), directed by Marti Lyons with Associate Director Wardell Julius Clark. The bells will be ringing in Jaffrey on St. Patrick's Day, March 17. In honor of Jaffrey holding its First Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, The River Street Theatre (RST), a project of The Park Theatre, is presenting a free showing of the award-winning 1945 film The Bells of St. Mary's.

Rehearsals kicked off today for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's highly anticipated world premiere comedy, The Doppelganger (an international farce) written by Chicagoland native Matthew-Lee Erlbach (Showtime's Masters of Sex, Off-Broadway's Handbook for an American Revolutionary).
