101 Studios announced today they have acquired the US rights to director Nicolas Bedos' La Belle Epoque starring Daniel Auteuil, Guillaume Canet, Dora Tillier, Fanny Ardant, and Pierre Arditi. The film premiered in Cannes and Toronto to glowing reviews. Opening October 5, Intimate Details: Prints by James Tissot celebrates the Zimmerli Art Museum's recent acquisition of several exquisite etchings by this noted chronicler of both Belle-Epoque Paris and Victorian London. Even as artists increasingly focused on depicting aspects of contemporary life during the late 19th century, Tissot's careful attention to portraying the most current fashions, furnishings, and social activities in his paintings stood out. One critic even claimed that 'a picture by M. Tissot will be enough for archaeologists of the future to reconstitute our epoch.' On November 5, curator-led exhibition tours take place during Art After Hours: First Tuesdays, which is free and open to the public.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company finishes its 25th Anniversary Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with a new version of Georges Feydeau's farce by David Ives, A Flea in Her Ear. The production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Director of Creative Education and Outreach, Jeremy Dubin and features a 14 person cast with CSC Resident Ensemble Members Billy Chace, Kelly Mengelkoch, Sara, and Matthew Lewis Johnson.
