The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced a Fall Season of digital concerts to replace each of the performances originally scheduled for Alice Tully Hall -- Front Row Mainstage, 16 newly-curated concerts drawn from CMS's vast archive of high-quality recordings.

Trademark Theater is announcing their re-imagined 2020-2021 season today. The season includes an audio play version of the company's 2018 interpersonal/socio-political drama Understood written by local playwright Tyler Mills, as well as two workshops of commissioned new works by David Darrow, Kira Obolensky and Harrision David Rivers, each presented digitally.

The composer's four symphonies have been recorded for Deutsche Grammophon in landmark interpretations by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel.

Continuing its dedication to the research, recovery and recording of marginalized composers and music lost to political suppression, ARC Ensemble presents “Chamber Works by Walter Kaufmann,” the fourth in its acclaimed series of Music in Exile recordings for Chandos. The CD is slated for release on August 28, 2020.

Quartet 131 will be featured on the Arion Chamber Music Series on Friday February 21, 2020, from 8:00 - 9:30 PM. David Ian and the Really Useful Group has announced the first ever UK tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES. Sweden's greatest modernist playwright, August Strindberg, returned from the Continent to Stockholm in 1906, where he lived out his last seven years. There he wrote 'The Pelican' for his Intimate Theater in 1907 and 'Isle of the Dead' (Toten-Insel) immediately after as its prologue. The latter was unpublished until 1918 and rediscovered in the early 60s, when it was found and promptly dismissed as an incomplete fragment. The two plays were finally reunited by Ingmar Bergman in a radio version in 2003. It was his last dramatic production. From February 6 to 22 August Strindberg Rep, a resident company of Theater for the New City (TNC), will bring the two plays to the stage together for the first time in history. It will also be the world premiere of new English translations of both plays by Robert Greer, Artistic Director of Strindberg Rep, who helms the production.

Dutch National Ballet presents the world premiere of Frida, a ballet inspired by the life story of Frida Kahlo. Annabelle Lopez Ochoa choreographs the ballet about one of the most intriguing artists of the 20th century. Frida Kahlo became world famous for her paintings, many of them self-portraits. She was also a great advocate of equal rights, broke taboos, was far ahead of her time in her battle for gender neutrality and did not let the doom that struck her restrain her.

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) today announced the appointment of Elissa Auther to the position of Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs and William and Mildred Lasdon Chief Curator, effective immediately. In this role, Auther will collaborate with Nanette L.
