The New Group has announced four productions for its 2017-2018 Season.

The Hollywood Bowl has announced the cast and creative team for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.

The 71st Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 11th at 8/9c hosted by Kevin Spacey. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize...

Aurora Theatre Company closes its 25th season with the Bay Area Premiere of SPLENDOUR, Abi Morgan's (Suffragette, The Iron Lady, Shame, The Hour) riveting play about the fragility of power and the unreliability of language. Barbara Damashek (American Buffalo) returns to Aurora to helm this drama, featuring Lorri Holt (The Aspern Papers), Denmo Ibrahim (Betrayed), Mia Tagano, and Sam Jackson. Jones book series is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the world's funniest first-grader is front and center at Walnut Street Theatre. Kids, parents and grandparents can read the books together and see their favorite characters live on stage in an hour-long musical filled with lots of laughter. Due to popular demand, the Walnut has just announced the production has been extended! Junie B. Jones will now run June 2nd through June 18th.

Producers Work Light Productions (RENT, Mamma Mia!, Motown The Musical) and The Araca Group (Urinetown, Wicked), in association with Aged in Wood and Michael Barra, today announced that a stage production of the murder mystery comedy thriller CLUE will tour North America beginning in the fall of 2018.

Funnier than the black death!  Spamalot is back in a brand-new production from Selladoor Productions and Mercury Theatre Colchester. Spamalot transfers from its critically acclaimed run in Colchester and will open on 11 September 2017 at Blackpool Opera House before embarking on a UK tour for 2017/2018 also visiting Korea in June as part of Selladoor Worldwide's ongoing International strategy.

The New Group presents the world premiere of All the Fine Boys, a new play from writer and director Erica Schmidt, featuring Abigail Breslin, Isabelle Fuhrman, Joe Tippett and Alex Wolff. The show opens tonight, March 1, for a limited Off-Broadway engagement playing through March 26 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (Ford Foundation Studio Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

Alt-folk icon Devendra Banhart makes his South Florida concert debut today Febraury 25th at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach in support of his new release, Ape in Pink Marble, on Nonesuch Records. Tickets have just gone on sale, and are selling quickly.
