The Neewollah Festival will celebrate its 60th Anniversary from October 19-27, in downtown Independence, Kansas. The famous nine day Halloween themed festival will feature live theatrical productions, concerts, three different parades, 5K/10K fun runs, pageants, a carnival, a chili cook off, vendors, food and more.

Joe Hartman is bringing '1958's big hearted songbird' back to Pangea September 22nd at 7PM in 'Cathy Dresden: An Old Fashioned Girl'. The show is a comedic and sentimental journey back to the 1950s directed by Daniel Adams, and featuring Michael Hicks on piano, accordion, and additional vocals.

Megan Follows To Receive Stratford Festival's Legacy Award

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino will present this year's Legacy Award to Megan Follows, one of Canada's most beloved performers, who shot to fame around the world for her award-winning portrayal of Anne in the 1985 miniseries Anne of Green Gables and its sequel Anne of Avonlea. Cimolino and Follows played opposite each other as Romeo and Juliet in Stratford in 1992.

Koerner Hall Announces 10th Anniversary Concert Season Opening Festival

Koerner Hall opened on September 25, 2009, Glenn Gould's birthday, with a Grand Opening Festival that featured 10 concerts. For the 10th anniversary season Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts at The Conservatory, has planned an opening festival (as well as a closing festival in April and May of 2019) that will consist of seven concerts.

Steven Minichiello, long-time friend of Liliane Montevecchi, is hosting a special memorial for the beloved actress on Monday, July 9th at Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway at 36th Street). Visitation will be from 11:30 to 1pm; a service will be held at 1pm with a champagne reception to follow. Guests to be announced. The event will be open to the public.

Clasica Lipizzana Makes U.S. Performance Debut To Celebrate The Tempel Lipizzans' 60th Anniversary

The Tempel Lipizzans, the world's largest privately-owned herd of Lipizzan horses, welcomes horses and riders from Chile-based Escuela Clasica Lipizzana, Latin America's first and only Lipizzan herd, to participate in Tempel Lipizzans' 60th anniversary celebration. Throughout the month of July 2018, the "Lipizzans of the Americas" will together present equestrian dressage performances as part of the Tempel Lipizzans regular summer performance season. Escuela Clasica Lipizzana will also appear with the Tempel Lipizzans at their 60th Anniversary Gala Celebration on Saturday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. Tempel Lipizzans perform at pastoral Tempel Farms, located just north of Chicago in Old Mill Creek, IL.

After more than 13,000 on-line votes in the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery 60 th Anniversary Recipe contest, America has spoken and determined that the Monte Cristo Sandwich, ham and cheese dipped in batter and fried for a delicious classic, is the crowd favorite! The recipe, submitted by Debra Jo Wagner of Minneapolis, MN was one of nearly 800 entered in the competition.

The Artistic Home's THE MAIDS To Be Performed With Drag Artists In Title Roles

The Artistic Home has announced a summer production of Jean Genet's THE MAIDS. Genet's subversive drama in which two maids fantasize killing their mistress was inspired by a real-life murder committed by two sisters working as maids who killed their employer and her daughter.  In the play, the maids construct elaborate sadomasochistic rituals when their mistress (Madame) is away. The focus of their role-playing is the murder of Madame and they take turns portraying both sides of the power divide.

Casting is announced for two REPRISE 2.0 productions with two Tony Award leading actress nominees: Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde - Tony Nomination, Hairspray, Anger Management) is to play Charity in Sweet Charity, directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall from June 20 to July 1, and Carmen Cusack (Bright Star - Tony Nomination, Wicked) is to play Victoria Grant in Victor/Victoria directed by Richard Israel and choreographed by John Todd from September 5 to 16 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.
