The project captured the stories and memories of nearly 1,000 of the city's Latino residents, which created the core of a new bilingual play, The Long Road Today/El Largo Camino de Hoy,written by Jose Cruz Gonzalez.

The production is part of La MaMa Puppet Series 3, a trio of adult puppet theater productions that are brimming with international art forms. The series is curated by Denise Greber.

Nicole Porlier has Neurofibromatosis (otherwise known as NF). NF is a genetic disorder where tumors grow on the skin and wrap themselves around various nerves of the body. NF affects one in three thousand babies. In her book, Bumpy Roads Have Soft Shoulders: Living with NF, she shares her story living with this condition. She shares the struggles and challenges she's been faced with throughout her childhood and young adult life as a result of NF. She hopes to make readers look at life in a different way and recognize that no matter what the circumstances, this should not stop anyone from living life to the fullest.

Not only the Girl with a Pearl Earring, the International Court of Justice, the Royal Family, and the best herring sandwich in the world, but most important to dance lovers, The Hague is home to one of the world's most celebrated dance companies, Nederlands Dans Theater. New York audiences will get a chance to witness firsthand the much-storied and spectacular 30-member contemporary dance troupe-in New York for the first time in nearly a decade-when it performs at The David H. Koch Theater, April 11 and 12, and as part of the The Joyce Theater Gala on April 10. In all, the company will present three New York premieres, each a collaboration between NDT's new Artistic Director Paul Lightfoot and its Resident Choreographer Sol Leon.
