THE OLD GLOBE, in partnership with the SAN DIEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY, has been selected as the host site for the state of California for First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare, a national traveling exhibition of the Shakespeare First Folio, one of the world's most treasured books. The Folger Shakespeare Library, in partnership with Cincinnati Museum Center and the American Library Association, is touring a First Folio of Shakespeare in 2016 to all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico.

Kentucky Shakespeare and Baxter Avenue Theatres are pleased to bring five films of live Shakespeare stage productions from the Stratford Festival of Ontario, Canada and the Royal Shakespeare Company of Stratford-upon-Avon England with their "Shakespeare on Stage Film Series". The theatrical productions will be screened in cinemas around the world in 2015 and Kentucky Shakespeare is proud to partner with Baxter Avenue Theatres to bring this event to Louisville.

Writers Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed by Kimberly Senior. The show runs February 24 - June 28, 2015 at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The Press Openings are Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5, 2015.

PLAYHOUSE CREATURES THEATRE has announced that it will present HUNTER GATHERERS, a black comedy about an annual dinner party that blurs the line between civilized and primal man, March 3 - March 28 at the Duo Theatre, 62 East 4th St. 2nd floor. Written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by Eric Tucker (Wall Street Journal's 2014 Director of the year), The production will have its official opening on Saturday, March 7th at 8:00PM.

The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open its 80th year with preview performances beginning on February 20 and the season officially kicking off Friday night, February 27, in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing (director, Lileana Blain-Cruz). On Saturday afternoon, Shakespeare's Pericles (Joseph Haj) takes the stage in the Thomas Theatre, and the classic musical Guys and Dolls (Mary Zimmerman) opens in the Bowmer Theatre that evening. Sunday afternoon the world-premiere production of Fingersmith (Bill Rauch) by Alexa Junge, based on the novel by Sarah Waters, opens in the Bowmer Theatre.

Jordan Reeves, the artistic director and co-founder of the Guerrilla Shakespeare Project, is currently in previews for the company's most recent production: AND TO THE REPUBLIC. This play is a collaboration and modern reimagining of Shakespeare's tragedies Julius Caesar and Antony and Cleopatra. All performances are being held at the Workshop Main Stage (for tickets, click here). Reeves took the time to chat with us this weekend, in anticipation of the production's official opening night this Thursday, May 29th. He gave us insight on the creation and collaboration of the play, as well as background on the Guerrilla Shakespeare Project.
