Comedian/actor/broadcaster Donald E. Lacy Jr. will perform the New York debut of his one man show, 'ColorStruck,' at Theater for the New City February 28 to March 17, 2019. The play was born in California's Bay Area and has been presented on college campuses around the country and at the National Black Theatre Festival. It has been presented twice for the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus.

RFD-TV began airing reruns of Hee Haw in September 2008 and remains one of the most watched programs on the network. Now in 2019, eleven years later, Hee Haw is celebrating its 50-year anniversary since its first-run on CBS in 1969. In celebration, RFD-TV will broadcast a live two-hour special on Thursday, January 31st at 10pm ET / 9pm CT that will include the Kornfield Friends – Jana Jae, Misty Rowe, Lulu Roman, and Buck Trent – along with additional cast members Victoria Hallman, Irlene Mandrell, Diana Goodman-McDaniel and members of The Nashville Edition. American Blues Theater announces the addition of five new Ensemble members and one new Artistic Affiliate to the Blues family. Joining the Ensemble is director, designer and Associate Producer Elyse Dolan, who directed several works in past Ripped and Blue Ink festivals; designer Jared Gooding, lighting designer of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story; actor Philip Earl Johnson, who is slated to appear in the upcoming Chicago premiere of Steven Dietz's On Clover Road; director Chuck Smith, director of the recent American Blues production of Pearl Cleage's Flyin' West; and actress and playwright Wandachristine, who won many awards for her solo performance Beauty's Daughter. Actor Zachary Stevenson has been named an Artistic Affiliate. Stevenson recently made his Chicago debut as 'Buddy Holly' in American Blues Theater's Joseph Jefferson Award-winning musical Buddy - the Buddy Holly Story, in which he also won a Jeff Award for Performance in a Musical.

Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival.
