New York Theatre Workshop has announced the complete 2021/22 Season as well as initial work for the 2022/23 Season. The 2021/22 season begins this summer with Semblance by Obie Award winner, NYTW Usual Suspect & former 2050 Fellow Whitney White.

The album follows Stevenson’s 2019 career milestone The Big Freeze, celebrated for its “finely detailed, wrenchingly intimate songwriting” (All Songs Considered), and a 2020 NPR Tiny Desk (counted as one of the year’s 20 Best).

Under Haydon's stewardship, the Rose's own work will be the priority, as demonstrated by the five Rose Originals in this upcoming season, but there will always be room on the theatre's stage for the country's leading touring shows as well.  This season's Rose Originals are a blend of new plays tackling significant contemporary issues and well-known titles reinvented for today.

In celebration of Pride Month, Broadway Records has announced the release of the new concept recording of BITTERSUMMER: A New Musical. This recording establishes a new frontier of LGBT musical theater storytelling with queer stories, queer writers, all queer characters and an entirely queer cast.

The Washington Ballet will conclude its all-digital 2020/21 season with Silas Farley's Werner Sonata and Dana Genshaft's Orpheus, premiering on the global arts streaming platform Marquee TV beginning June 18, 2021, at 7:00PM ET.

La MaMa has announced the lineup for the 16th edition of La MaMa Moves! Returning for its annual spring season for two weeks in May, the 2021 festival will feature works by Hadar Ahuvia and Tatyana Tenenbaum, J. Bouey, Jasmine Hearn, Tiffany Mills, Ricarrdo Valentine, and Sugar Vendil.
