Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT) conducts Mahler's Symphony No. 4, Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate, and American Maverick Carl Ruggles's Evocations at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, in his first performance with The MET Orchestra, Tuesday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m. This will be the first time that The MET Orchestra performs a work by Ruggles. The program's featured soloist is soprano Pretty Yende, who sings in Exsultate, jubilate and the finale of the Mahler symphony.

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced that Lisa Wong has been named Director of Choruses for The Cleveland Orchestra, effective immediately. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus is one of the few professionally trained, all-volunteer choruses sponsored by a major American orchestra. Its members hail from nearly fifty Cleveland-area communities and together contribute more than 15,000 volunteer hours to the Orchestra's music-making each year. Wong will hold the Frances P. and Chester C. Bolton Director of Choruses Endowed Chair.

During 2018, the Finborough Theatre celebrates 150 years of the Finborough Theatre's building - and its birthday also coincides with the 150th anniversary of the birth of French symbolist playwright Paul Claudel. As part of the #Finborough150 celebrations, the London premiere in English of Paul Claudel's Break of Noon (Partage de Midi) plays for six Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 May 2018 (Press Night: Monday, 28 May 2018 at 7.30pm).

The Vancouver Art Gallery announces a new exhibition uniting the works of two women artists practicing in British Columbia in the early twentieth century in Emily Carr in Dialogue with Mattie Gunterman, on view at the Gallery from April 28 to September 3, 2018. Home to the world's finest collection of Emily Carr works, the Gallery pairs a selection of paintings by Emily Carr (1871-1945) from its permanent collection with forty-eight photographs by US-born photographer Mattie Gunterman (1872-1945). Gunterman's photos are on loan from the private collection of Vancouver photographer and writer Henri Robideau.

Opera Orlando returns to the intimate setting of the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for part of their 2018-2019 season. 2018 marks the 200th Anniversary of Frankenstein's publication. Mary Shelley was just 18 years old when she started writing it, and all of 20 by the time the first edition came out. Never out of print since, this enthralling tale of a mad scientist, who creates a grotesque but intelligent creature from assembled body parts is not only a seminal work of gothic horror, but also one of the earliest examples of science fiction literature. British author, Brian Aldiss (who would later write an unauthorised sequel - Frankenstein Unbound), is one of many literary luminaries to make the case that Shelley's book should be considered the very first science fiction novel, because it 'turns to modern experiments in the laboratory' to inspire and rationalise its fantastic events. Giving rise to countless imitators, Frankenstein has also spawned hundreds of stage and screen adaptations over the years - probably the most well-known being James Whale's haunting 1931 movie version starring Boris Karloff in what would become an iconic interpretation of The Creature, and Kenneth Branagh's flashy 1994 film, which featured a sensitive 'method' interpretation of Frankenstein's tragic creation from Robert De Niro.

With its vision focused squarely on the future, Nashville Children's Theatre (NCT) - the nation's oldest professional theatre for young audiences - last night revealed its upcoming "Season of Discovery," a slate of six challenging productions, along with an updated rendering of the company's iconic dragon logo.

The Warner Theatre will welcome Scotty McCreery to the Main Stage on Thursday, March 15 at 8 pm. Opening the show is Texas-based duo, Waterloo Revival. After a five year wait and a multitude of life changes, the country music star will release his new album Seasons Change on March 16 which includes his smash hit song 'Five More Minutes.'
