Centenary Stage Company's critically acclaimed Young Performers Workshop returns with their annual Winter Festival of Shows running December 9 through December 17. These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 fill the Little Theater with musical theatre favorites including The Pajama Game, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and A Class Act. Young Performers will also be featured in Centenary Stage Company's Family Holiday Spectacular Disney's Newsies The Musical which runs November 24 through December 10 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center.

'Ain't it a fine life, Carrying The Banner!' Disney's Newsies is the second show this season of the newly reopened Surflight Theatre located in Beach Haven, New Jersey.

When David Moscow made his 'Big'-screen debut in 1988, it was huge. Penny Marshall had plucked this precocious, 11-year-old kid from the Bronx to play the younger version of Tom Hanks' character, Josh Baskin. This comic fantasy-fable about a boy who literally became 'Big' overnight, was a giant box-office hit. Moscow was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor in a Comedy. And in that same season, another kid won for Best Young Actor in a Drama: Christian Bale for 'Empire of the Sun.'

In its 16th year as a successful touring theater company, the Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF), known for its critically-acclaimed original musicals such as 'Ako si Ninoy,' 'Cory ng EDSA,' and 'Katips: Ang Mga Bagong Katipunero,' puts the spotlight on the controversial, tragic life of the world-renowned Filipino artist and political activist Juan Luna (1857-1899).

Audiences now have eight more chances to see stage and screen star Stacy Keach in his tour-de-force performance as Chicagoland native son, Ernest Hemingway. Goodman Theatre announces that playwright Jim McGrath's newest work - Pamplona, which begins preview performances tomorrow - has been extended for one week, now closing on Sunday, June 25.

Village Theatre is excited to announce its 2017-2018 Season with a diverse collection of shows that will combine to create an incredible year of theatre. SHOW BOAT inaugurates a partnership between Fiddlehead Theatre and Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre. The lavish, spectacular production is co-directed by Meg Fofonoff and Stacey Stephens, features a 27-piece live orchestra, and a cast of 50 triple-threat performers. The costumes by Stephens are to die for and the musical numbers are triumphant. If only it had a little more heart.

TWO of the UK's favourite actors lead the cast of Noel Coward's sparking comedy Present Laughter, coming to The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, next month (July).

The Breadbox presents the World Premiere of THE AWAKENING, adapted for the stage by Oren Stevens and developed with Ariel Craft, based on Kate Chopin's revolutionary novel. The Breadbox Artistic Director Ariel Craft (The Pillowman, Blood Wedding, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore) helms this stunning production, breathing new life into Chopin's feminist masterwork. Syracuse University's Department of Drama concludes its 2015-2016 season with David Ives' new version of French playwright Georges Feydeau's bedroom farce A Flea in Her Ear. Directed by Stephen Cross, this production runs May 6-14 at the Storch Theatre in the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex. The opening night performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m.

Previn, who has been called one of America's least easily categorized musicians, began his remarkable career as a Hollywood "wunderkind" and a best-selling jazz pianist. Now 86, Previn has received four Academy Awards for his work in film, 10 Grammy Awards for his recordings (plus one more for his Lifetime Achievement), and he is also an honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. He's held a series of major conducting posts, including the L.A. Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra, but now exclusively composes. The concert is led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, whose great admiration for the legend shaped this year's ACF to reveal the scope of Previn's prowess as a composer. 

Though no one in Aaron Lazar's family had professionally pursued show business before he came along, he sees his entire career as being heavily influenced by his musically talented grandparents and great-grandparents. So in order to give back to the special seniors in his personal and professional life, Lazar has become involved with JASA (Jewish Association Serving the Aging), a non-profit organization. Lazar opened up to me about the impact the seniors in his life have had on him, his favorite memories from working with legends like Angela Lansbury and Elaine Stritch, why he wanted to join JASA, and more. Be prepared to laugh as the all-Canadian cast transports audiences to high society Vienna, complete with costume swaps, mistaken identities, hypnosis by pocket watch and plenty of bubbly.

On Her Shoulders will present a FREE staged reading of three shorts from the Suffragists, directed by Melissa Attebery tonight, February 18, 2015. Doors open at 6:30pm;The Play in Context, which situates the script in its historical time and place, kicks off the evening at 6:45pm with an Introduction by dramaturg Barbara Cohen-Stratyner.
