TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, has finalized its four-play 2010-11 season. The Chicago premiere of In Darfur by Winter Miller, directed by Nick Bowling, joins three previously released titles: The Chicago premiere of Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, the world premiere of Mastering the Art by William Brown and Doug Frew, and The Front Page by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.

The Route 66 Theatre Company kicks off its 2010-2011 season with MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT, a new play by Scott T. Barsotti, directed by Damon Kiely. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT features an all-star cast including Randy Steinmeyer, Kate Buddeke, Blair Robertson, Tyler Ross, Dane Halvorson and Danielle Brothers. MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT plays October 7 - November 14, 2010 in Richard Christiansen Theater, upstairs at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. The press opening is Friday, October 15 at 8 pm.

At a press conference yesterday the Oregon Shakespeare Festival provided a comprehensive picture of the scope of new work underway over the next several season supported by grants totaling more than $800,000. OSF recently received a grant of $600,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation over three years (2010-2012) for the decade-long commissioning, production, and public dialogue initiative American Revolutions: the United States History Cycle. The Edgerton Foundation of Los Angeles, California awarded OSF a four-year $200,000 grant to support the commissioning of five new American musicals, putting OSF in the unique position of creating new American musicals with a resident acting company.

Autumn Hurlbert, Lori Prince, and Michael Puzzo are set to star in Killing Women, by Marisa Wegrzyn and presented by kef productions. The production runs at the Beckett Theatre May 13- June 5 and will be directed by Adam Fitzgerald. Additional casting is yet to be announced.
