Pittsburgh International Children's Theater, a division of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, presents award-winning Vital Theatre Company in the Pittsburgh premiere of Angelina Ballerina the Musical from January 23-30, 2011 at six performance locations throughout the area.

Real-life husband and wife Jason MacDonald and Catherine Dyer take the stage together in Theatre in the Square's The 39 Steps. The play, which is adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan and Alfred Hitchcock's movie by the same title, is playing now through February 20. The Lyceum Theatre's yearly talent search begins officially in February. Auditions will be held at the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, February 25 and February 26, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Appointments for these auditions are recommended and can be made by contacting Leslie Bertani 660-837-3311 ext. 104. Each auditionee must prepare 16 bars of 2 contrasting songs and one brief monologue. An accompanist will be provided. Children under the age of ten may audition with 16 bars of one song. If not a singer, one monologue will be sufficient.

The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is pleased to announce that NAHF Director Michael Stricker has received two prestigious awards for his role as Jaime in Long Day's Journey Into Night this past year at Paragon Theatre: Best Supporting Actor, Dramatic Role from the Denver Post; and Best Supporting Actor, Drama from local theatre, opera, and ballet reviewer David Marlowe. Michael is a Paragon Theatre co-founder, ensemble member, and Executive Director. 2010 Paragon Theatre productions The Sound of a Voice, The Real Thing, and (W)hole also won numerous awards.
