More than 25 years later, the HBO DOCUMENTARY FILMS presentation MAPPLETHORPE: LOOK AT THE PICTURES does just that, taking an unflinching, unprecedented look at his most provocative work.

Theatrical Outfit will present A LITTLE PRINCESS, running tonight, December 3, through December 27, 2015 at The Balzer Theater at Herren's, starring Broadway actress and Atlanta native Emerson Steele, with Christy Baggett, Bryant Smith, Molly Coyne, Jeanette Illidge, Laughton Berry and many more.

Among the 17 recipients of the 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom are Broadway legends Stephen Sondheim and Barbra Streisand, as well as pop star and ON YOUR FEET! creator Gloria Estefan. To begin at the end: the stage production of Dirty Dancing brought cheers and screams from the opening night audience of the Broadway in Louisville at Johnny's iconic line about Baby and at the even more iconic dance number following that flooded the stage. Gillian Abbott and Christopher Tierney, respectively, inhabit these roles with enough of a nod to the originals (Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze) that audiences are swept back to the 1987 movie.

You don't have to be an aficionado of Dirty Dancing, the 1987 film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey as a mismatched romantic duo brought together by some sexy dance moves at a Catskills resort, to find yourself loving every moment of Dirty Dancing, The Classic Story On Stage, now ensconced at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall through Sunday.

Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts announced today that individual tickets for the Raleigh premiere of Dirty Dancing -- The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale July 20 at 10 a.m.

Theatrical Outfit opens its 39th season with MEMPHIS, a co-production with Aurora Theatre, September 10-20, 2015 at The Rialto Center for the Arts.

In the film Judgement at Nuremberg, Spencer Tracy who plays the judge of the tribunals, states emphatically at the end that in the light of today's changing values, condoning these actions may seem logical, but it is not - or never is - right. Assassination is murder pure and simple. I will never condone it, even though I may understand the circumstances. I may laugh and enjoy Assassins and weigh the killers' motivations, but I will never accept them.

In Kent Stowell's primal Carmina Burana, a grand-scale synthesis of dance, chorus, and orchestra, the famous cantata's poems materialize as the entire Company unites song and score for a jubilant communal experience under Carmina scenic designer Ming Cho Lee's colossal golden wheel. The program also includes a musical prelude to shine the spotlight on the world famous PNB Orchestra, currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary.  CARMINA BURANA runs for seven performances only, May 29 through June 7 at Seattle Center's Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. BBC's world-renowned science-fiction drama 'Doctor Who' will premiere on Disney XD beginning TONIGHT, MAY 9 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT).

Now, over 40 years later, Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971 surveys the decisive decade that led up to that unauthorized exhibition at MoMA, bringing together approximately 125 of her early objects, works on paper, installations, performances, audio recordings, and films, alongside rarely seen archival materials. On view from May 17 to September 7, 2015, this is the first exhibition at MoMA dedicated exclusively to the artist's work.
