Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for its upcoming 2014/2015 Season. The Members of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Museum have elected Elizabeth A. Sackler, Board member since 2000, as the Museum's Chair. Dr. Sackler, the first woman in the nearly 200-year history of the Museum to serve in that position, is the founder of the Museum's Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. She succeeds retiring chair John S. Tamagni, who has served as Chair since 2011 and will continue to serve as an active Board member.

The Royal Court Theatre announces a new season of work today, Friday 27 June, including new plays from Molly Davies, Zinnie Harris, Rory Mullarkey, Tim Price and Jack Thorne; a debut play from first-time playwright Diana Nneka Atuona; a collaboration between scientist Chris Rapley, playwright and director Duncan Macmillan and director Katie Mitchell and a new production for young people and their families - Enda Walsh's new adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Twits.

On Sunday, June 8, both Joe Allen Restaurant and Orso Restaurant will be hosting exclusive Tony Awards viewing parties for a limited number of guests. Several monitors will be displayed throughout the dining rooms for guests to enjoy the broadcast from any table. A Prix Fixe Menu, created by Executive Chef, Victor Flores, will be available for dinner for $75 at Joe Allen, and $85 at Orso. The viewing party begins at 6:00 p.m. for red carpet coverage, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a raffle to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, followed by dinner and the Tony Awards telecast at 8:00 p.m. Reservations are required to attend.

THEATRE EAST will present Dominic Chianese, best known for his role as Corrado "Junior" Soprano on the HBO TV series The Sopranos, with its 2014 LAURETTE TAYLOR AWARD on Monday, May 19, at Trinity Place, 115 B'way (between B'way and Trinity Place) in lower Manhattan. The benefit begins with a VIP Cocktail Hour at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm begins the dinner, program and music. David Chase, who created the hit award-winning television series, will host the event. Also participating will be Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Lincoln), and Graham Russell (Air Supply) for cocktails, dinner, and music. Other special guests to be announced.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories and one special award for the 2014 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. From March 20 to 30, Kairos Italy Theater (KIT) and Dicapo Opera will present 'Tosca e le altre due' (Tosca and The Two Downstairs), a satirical, behind-the-scenes sister-story to Puccini's 'Tosca' as imagined by one of the wittiest and most admired Italian playwright and actresses, Franca Valeri. The piece is directed by Laura Caparrotti, Artistic Director of KIT, and its English translation is by Natasha Lardera. Supertitles are by the prestigious Prescott Studio in Italy. In this witty take on love and marriage, Henry, a famous playwright, finds himself the star of his own real-life drama. He discovers that what he has written in his latest play seems to be happening in real life and is turning his world upside down.
