Six-time National Sportscaster of the Year Chris Berman, who joined ESPN in October 1979 - less than a month after the network launched - has signed an extension to remain with ESPN. One of the preeminent sports commentators of his generation, Berman will continue as the leading voice and face of ESPN's National Football League studio coverage as host of Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and Monday Night Football halftime, and NFL highlight segments on SportsCenter. He will also continue his play-by-play duties for the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and his familiar host role for ESPN's U.S. Open golf coverage, among other responsibilities

The Canadian premiere of Broadway's rockin' goodtime musical ROCK OF AGES will feature some of the country's hottest musical theatre talent when it begins performances at the Royal Alexandra Theatre on April 20, 2010.

The Seacoast Repertory Theatre announced today they have added one performance of its holiday production of A Christmas Carol, A Musical Ghost Story on Sunday December 27, 2009 at 7pm. A Christmas Carol which has been playing the entire month of December to SOLD OUT houses has been the toughest ticket to get on the Seacoast this year.

Tony Award nominated Broadway star, Kerry Butler (Xanadu, Hairspray) will star in the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) as 'Sherrie' beginning Monday, September 21, 2009 for a six month limited engagement for six performances a week. The 'Sherrie' understudy will play the role during both performances on Sundays. Constantine Maroulis continues his Tony Award Nominated performance staring in the show as 'Drew'.

She brings to us her talent and expertise in a production of Tennessee Williams most famous play, A Streetcar Named Desire. This play was selected by our audience, as were all of the shows this season, to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary. This will also be the first show which will use our new online ticketing system. This ticketing system is part of the success our fundraising campaign has brought to the Dayton Playhouse, enabling us to bring you another 50 years of great entertainment.
