Multi-award winning Foothill Music Theatre presents Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of The Sound of Music and South Pacific, legendary songwriting team Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals, has announced the nominees for the 9th Annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2018-2019 season.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Incoming Artistic Director Nataki Garrett and Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2020 playbill today. Ten actors take on all of the roles in an accessible and comedic experience for all. This is the first of the Cue Zero Laboratory series, which aims to bring exciting, different, and unique theatrical performances to southern New Hampshire.

Building on 40 years of producing powerful contemporary theatre, Studio Theatre is pleased to announce a new class of commissioned playwrights and directors to Studio R&D, its incubator to support the creation of new work from inception to first production. Incoming Studio R&D artists are playwrights James Fritz, James Ijames, Steph Del Rosso, and Emily Schwend, as well as directors Carl Cofield, Lila Neugebauer, and Eric Ruffin. These exciting talents from the US and UK will have Studio's full support in creating aesthetically diverse new work to be presented in future seasons and introduced into the international repertoire. Created by the talented husband/wife team of Jahnna Beecham (Playwright/Lyricist) and Malcolm Hillgartner (Composer/Lyricist) and based on the play by Barbara Robinson, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL is filled with catchy,'60s-inspired original music and a delightful story that both young and old will enjoy. The horrible Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. The entire town panics when these rowdy six siblings are cast in the church's annual Christmas pageant. It's up to good-hearted Mrs. Bradley to help the Herdmans - and the rest of the town - discover the true meaning of Christmas before it's too late. Silent night? This Thanksgiving weekend the Atlantic City Ballet will be bringing back It's A Shore Holiday to help kick off the holiday season. It's A Shore Holiday blends classical and contemporary dance set to beloved holiday tunes. This "Radio City-esque" review will feature the AC Ballet Professional company along with live singers and a six piece band. Although The Nutcracker will always remain a holiday staple in the ballet's repertoire, this production allows those who may never entertain the idea of going to the ballet, a chance to see for themselves what it's like.

Director Linda Fortunato has cast Neil Friedman as Kris Kringle, Stella Rose Hoyt as Susan, Courtney Jones as Doris and Christopher Kale Jones as Fred for Theatre at the Center's Miracle On 34th Street: The Musical. Westport Country Playhouse's world-premiere drama, "Thousand Pines," brings the national dialogue about gun violence to the stage, October 30 through November 17. Written by Matthew Greene, and directed by Austin Pendleton, the new play was part of the Playhouse's 2017 New Works Circle Initiative, a program dedicated to the discovery, development, and production of new live theatrical works.

Alabama Shakespeare Festival will present a new production of The Sound of Music beginning November 15, 2018, directed by ASF Artistic Director Rick Dildine. The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse (suggested by "The Trapp Family Singers" by Maria Augusta Trapp.)

Telling the interwoven stories of three men coming home from war, this new work by Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting winner Anna Jordan is directed by Frantic Assembly associate director Neil Bettles and marks the 10th anniversary of Frantic Assembly's award-winning Ignition training programme. The cast includes Jared Garfield, Joe Layton, Jonnie Riordan and Kieton Saunders-Browne.

A brand new trailer and production photography have been released for Frantic Assembly and Theatre Royal Plymouth's co-production The Unreturning. The trailer is produced by TEAFilms.

A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).
