When it comes to developing a loyal fan base, Troubadour Theater Company has found the secret: do outstanding work, stay true to your aesthetic, and give the people what they want - a great time at the theater. Artistic Director Matt Walker started the troupe and, with the help of longtime friend and foil, Beth Kennedy, continues to lead his merry band into the great theatrical unknown. Next up for the company is JULIUS WEEZER, which combines Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR and the music of Weezer to tell its tale of political intrigue Troubie style. Cue Zero Theatre Company kicks off 2019 and their Guerilla Shakespeare Series with A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Bookery in downtown Manchester. This immersive staged reading will be for donations (pay 'As You Like It') today, January 18th, starting promptly at 7pm. Ten actors take on all of the roles in an accessible and comedic experience for all. This is the first of the Cue Zero Laboratory series, which aims to bring exciting, different, and unique theatrical performances to southern New Hampshire.

Building on 40 years of producing powerful contemporary theatre, Studio Theatre is pleased to announce a new class of commissioned playwrights and directors to Studio R&D, its incubator to support the creation of new work from inception to first production. Incoming Studio R&D artists are playwrights James Fritz, James Ijames, Steph Del Rosso, and Emily Schwend, as well as directors Carl Cofield, Lila Neugebauer, and Eric Ruffin. These exciting talents from the US and UK will have Studio's full support in creating aesthetically diverse new work to be presented in future seasons and introduced into the international repertoire. As they create Studio-specific works, commissioned artists will visit Studio to get to know its theatres, programming, and audiences in person.

This Thanksgiving weekend the Atlantic City Ballet will be bringing back It's A Shore Holiday to help kick off the holiday season. It's A Shore Holiday blends classical and contemporary dance set to beloved holiday tunes. This "Radio City-esque" review will feature the AC Ballet Professional company along with live singers and a six piece band. Although The Nutcracker will always remain a holiday staple in the ballet's repertoire, this production allows those who may never entertain the idea of going to the ballet, a chance to see for themselves what it's like.

A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).
