The Painted Bride Art Center will give Philadelphia audiences a glimpse into an untold story from American history as it continues the build-up to the World Premiere of Ain Gordon and Nadine Patterson's Place Philadelphia in 2013. The three-time Obie Winner, Gordon, is presenting his one-woman show, In This Place… Thursday, March 8-Saturday, March 10 at 8 p.m. at the Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine Street. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), invites all theatres, individual artists, institutions and audiences to celebrate the 50th annual World Theatre Day on March 27, 2012. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft an international message to mark the global occasion. This year the message will be written by award-winning actor, director and producer John Malkovich. Upon its release in March, the message will be translated into more than 20 languages to reach tens of thousands in the international theatre community.

In just two weeks, on September 22nd, Performance Network Theatre will launch its 30th anniversary season with a Gala cabaret featuring a variety of beloved local acts. Entertainment for the event was announced today with popular singing trio The Chenille Sisters and Grammy winner Bill Bolcom and Joan Morris at the top of the list. Each act will perform a cabaret set on the evening's theme 'Diamonds and Pearls' to coincide with the modern and traditional gifts for a 30th anniversary.
