From the author of Absurd Person Singular comes the theatrical event of the season: a pair of interlocking comedies that take place simultaneously, with one cast performing both shows in two different theaters at the same time. Directed by resident company member Brian McEleney, the shows open in previews on May 16 and then run simultaneously through June 30 in both the Chace and Dowling Theaters. On November 13 2012, the brand new comedy series from YOMYOMF, "Squad 85" will premiere its pilot episode featuring an original theme written by Jeff Bowen ("Title of Show"). The series, created by Gregory Bonsignore, stars Parvesh Cheena ("Outsourced"), Travis Van Winkle ("Transformers") and a multi-ethnic cast of characters. The series also features guest stars and cameos by Diedrich Bader ("Outsourced"), Danny Pudi ("Community"), RJ Mitte ("Breaking Bad"), Janina Gavankar ("True Blood"), and Rizwan Manji ("Outsourced").

SIMPATICO blends all of Shepard's trademarks with an unbelievable sense of humor in a film-noir style. The plot deals with a horse-racing scheme run amuck and follows two former best friends through blackmail, intrigue, betrayal and redemption and includes bourbon, Buicks and a Kentucky Derby dress. Equity actor Mike Sears (Carter) and NVA Ensemble Member Manny Fernandes (Vinnie) bring the two friends to life and are joined by NVA Ensemble Member Jack Missett (Simms), Kelly Iversen (Kelly), Terri Park (Rosie) and Kim Strassburger (Cecilia). A major work by one of contemporary theatre's most respected and celebrated writers; Time Magazine said, 'It may be his best.' Winner of the Obie Award for best play. The Village Voice called it, 'Epic, unpredictable and deliriously ironic'. Genesis West's production of this brilliant dark satire will be the Santa Barbara premier. The production will run through November 20, 2010 with performances Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm at Center Stage Theater.
