Sierra Stages opens it 2017 season with "End Days", an irreverent but deeply felt comedy about science, religion, and family. Written by Deborah Zoe Laufer, "End Days" plays for four weekends only from March 2 - 25 at the historic Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. The Sierra Stages production is directed by Robert Rossman, with set design also by Robert Rossman, lighting design by Erin Beatie and Joshua Vrooman, and costume design by Paulette Sand-Gilbert. The cast includes Nevada County actors Brian Arnold, Cathy Callas, Max Freedman, Michele Nesbit, and T.E. Wolfe.

Division St. Special guest Alastair Reynolds, UK-based novelist and author of Diamond Dogs, will be joined by adaptor Steve Pickering of the Chicago collective Shanghai Low and Artistic Director of The House Nathan Allen. Hear from Reynolds about his inspirations for creating his 'Revelation Space Universe' where Diamond Dogs is set, and from our Chicago-based artists about shaping this world premiere adaptation. Today the Tricycle Theatre announces initial programming for its fourth Takeover. Six venues across the borough will host more than 25 free events, screenings, performances and masterclasses across a 13 day period in April. During the Takeover, young people from across London will be invited to get involved as audiences, workshop participants and performers.

For three nights in March, a former medical marijuana dispensary in Seattle's University District will transform into a makeshift theatre cafe. Inspired by Joe Cino's legendary Greenwich Village performance space, Caffe Cino, the space will house performances of six short plays from the early days of Off Off Broadway.
