Community and collaboration are the watchwords of Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, running tonight, May 12-May 31. Co-directed by Susan D. Atkinson and Amy Kaissar, the high-voltage drama, which concludes BRT's Mainstage Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Keith Baker, Kevin Bergen, Mark Collmer, Brian Brillinger, Laura Giknis, Marc LeVasseur, Shamus Hunter McCarty, P. Brendan Mulvey and Sabrina Proffitt performing alongside Bucks County community members. The production is supported in part by a generous grant from PECO.

Orange County, Calif.—April 28, 2015—A gala season awaits as great stars in entertainment lead the way to celebrate Richard Kaufman's 25-year legacy as principal pops conductor of Pacific Symphony. While last season marked the occasion of Music Director Carl St.Clair's 25th anniversary, 2015-16 puts the spotlight on Kaufman, who has championed the lighter side of the Symphony, bringing countless memorable artists to the stage. Also, Stewart Copeland, former drummer for The Police, joins the Symphony to perform his score to the 1925 silent film, “Ben Hur.”

Blessed Unrest presents Doruntine, a bilingual international collaboration with Teatri ODA of Kosova, co-written by Matt Opatrny and Lirak Celaj, and co-directed by Jessica Burr and Florent Mehmeti. Doruntine runs from tonight, April 23 - May 10, 2015 in a limited engagement at The Interart Theatre, located at 500 West 52 Street (at the corner of 10th Avenue) in New York City. Previews begin tonight, April 23 for an April 25 opening.

If you asked me to pick a musical I loved based on nostalgia alone, it would be, without a doubt, Annie. Probably for the same reason most theatre kids will tell you; it was the very first musical I was ever in. I was in 6th grade, and I played Kathy. You probably don't know this character- that's because she doesn't actually exist. She was an addition to the script's gaggle of 6 little orphans (I believe our production had 12).

In this taut 2013 theatrical adaptation of Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela's award winning-book, the apartheid regime's most notorious assassin and head of its death squad, Eugene de Kock (played by Matthew Marsh), sits opposite psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela (played Noma Dumezweni) in Pretoria Central Prison in 1997. Gobodo-Madikizela is a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission determined to understand his actions. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

B Street Theatre, Sacramento's Resident New Works Theatre, is pleased to present the Regional Premiere of Buyer & Cellar, a one-man show by playwright Jonathan Tolins. Enjoying immediate success at the non-profit Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Buyer & Cellar moved to the Barrow Street Theatre for an Off-Broadway run. Playing to sold-out houses for months, Buyer & Cellar received an Off-Broadway extension until April of 2014. Featuring four performers, marionettes of various sizes and assorted antique moose and deer antlers, the piece will be presented by Theater for the New City tonight, March 5 to 22. The piece is written and directed by Vit Horejs and co-created by Horejs and the cast.
