This summer, NYMF will be on quest to save Paradise one Scrabble tile at a time. The new musical, The Last Word will be presented at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd St) . The Last Word is written by Brett Sullivan (Billy Elliot Live Film Director) and will be directed by Michael Bello (Doctor Zhivago), choreography by Nick Kenkel (Gotta Dance, Legally Blonde) and Musical Supervisor is Conrad Helfrich (Dirty Dancing). It will begin performances on July 22 and will run through July 29, 2016. Tickets are $27.50 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

Start getting your kids ready! In a recent interview with Broadway Journal, producer and Michael Bennett estate executor John Breglio revealed plans for a revival of A Chorus Line in 2025, coinciding with the show's 50th anniversary. Breglio also produced the 2006 revival of the show.

It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. Another legendary icon, Chita Rivera, will present the award to Jacob, whom she has known since the original Broadway production of CHICAGO (1975).

It didn't take long to zero in on what we suspect will be announced very shortly. This past Monday marked the opening night of the American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) as they returned to New York City. Founded and Produced by Artistic Director Nikki Feirt Atkins, ADM21 is dedicated to creating a living and vibrant archive of classic and current notable musical theater choreography. Continuing the legacy of the late Lee Theodore, who established the original American Dance Machine in 1976 until her death in 1987, and believed that "many great choreographic works are lost with the musical they once embellished," the impetus to preserve these dances drove Theodore and continues to drive Ms. Atkins.
