WICKED once again cast its spell over Bristol on Tuesday, when Elphaba defied gravity above the Floating Harbour as part of a special launch event at M Shed. Marking the return of the UK & Ireland Tour to The Bristol Hippodrome from 31 January 2018, the stars of the new tour were also introduced, with Amy Ross (Elphaba), Helen Woolf (Glinda) and Aaron Sidwell (Fiyero) starring. WICKED, the smash hit musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, flies into its 12th year at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre today (Wednesday 27 September 2017).

Today, hit musical WICKED announced its full cast for the UK & Ireland Tour in 2018, and BroadwayWorld UK was at the launch in Bristol to catch all the action!

WICKED, the West End and Broadway musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is delighted to announce that Amy Ross (Elphaba), Helen Woolf (Glinda), Steven Pinder (The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond), Kim Ismay (Madame Morrible), Emily Shaw (Nessarose), Iddon Jones (Boq) and Nikki Bentley (Standby for Elphaba) will join the previously announced Aaron Sidwell (Fiyero) to lead the cast of the forthcoming return engagement of the spectacular, critically acclaimed and multi record-breaking UK & Ireland Tour in 2018.

This weekend's West End LIVE 2017 saw hundreds of thousands flock to Trafalgar Square, a testament to the enduring appeal and resilience of theatre. Now in its 13th year, the event has grown to become one of Europe's largest free performing arts festivals. WICKED, the classic West End musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, welcomed its 8 millionth theatregoer to London's Apollo Victoria Theatre on Thursday 9 February 2017. Louise and David McCarter attended the performance and enjoyed a back stage visit with the cast after the performance.

WICKED returns for four weeks only from Tuesday 6 February to Saturday 3 March 2018. Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday 1 February.

Thanks to donations from Wicked fans from across the UK, over £8,500 has been raised in 2016 for the Woodland Trust to create new woods as part of the production's annual WICKED DAY charitable fundraising activities.
