CRAZY FOR YOU™ is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930's playboy, who's dream in life is to dance. And despite the serious efforts of his mother and soon-to-be-ex-fiancee, Bobby achieves his dream! Memorable Gershwin tunes include I Can't Be Bothered Now, Bidin' My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can't Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me. It's a high energy comedy which includes mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers and classic Gershwin music.

Broadway In Austin To Present JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

Producer Stephen Gabriel/Work Light Productions released today a music video in anticipation of the 50th Anniversary North American tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical Jesus Christ Superstar.  The Olivier Award-winning production first premiered in 2016 at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in London.  The North American tour launches in Austin, TX in the fall of 2019 and celebrates fifty epic years since the original rock opera concept album release that began this musical theatre phenomenon.

Wright State University Theatre continues its 44th season in the Festival Playhouse with the wildly popular musical: CRAZY FOR YOU, running from November 1nd - November 18th. This show has been adored by fans for generations with a score full of such show tunes as "Slap That Bass," "Naughty Baby," and "I Got Rhythm."  The original production opened on Broadway in 1992.  This hit musical won the Tony Award and Olivier Award in London for Best Musical, and played for a record 1,622 performances on Broadway!

 dick clark productions announced today the line-up of stand-out performers and talent who will be recognized at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.” Crazy Rich Asians will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award,” Amandla Stenberg will be recognized with the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress Award” for 20th Century Fox's The Hate U Give, while John David Washington will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor Award” for his role in Focus Features' BlacKkKlansman. Additionally, Felix Van Groeningen will be bestowed the “Hollywood Breakthrough Director Award” for Amazon Studios' Beautiful Boy, and Yalitza Aparicio will be given the “New Hollywood Award” for her performance in Netflix's ROMA.

Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.
