The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Anne Hathaway as Viola. TWELFTH NIGHT will run June 10-July 12 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park with an official press opening on Thursday, June 25 at 8 p.m. Bank of America will return as lead sponsor of Shakespeare in the Park 2009.

This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company.

Matt Dillon will appear at Steppenwolf as part of a one night event on April 6th, 'Nelson Algren Live: The 100th Birthday Celebration.' This event will celebrate the 100th birthday of the late Nelson Algren. The evening will include never-before-heard work by the famed Chicago writer. Other performers will also include ensemble members Martha Lavey, Estelle Parsons, and Dan Simon as well as authors Russell Banks, Barry Gifford, and Dan DeLillo.
