The award-winning Bat Out of Hell - The Musical at Dominion Theatre closes on  5 January, 2019 so we went backstage with Christina Bennington - who plays Raven - to find out what it is like to be in the show and hear what she's up to next. Watch the video below!

First Nations Dialogues Lenapehoking/New York is an initiative that provides unprecedented exposure and a focus on Indigenous performing arts and artists based in Canada, the U.S., and Australia in partnership with multiple contemporary live performance platforms across New York City, January 5–12, 2019. First Nations Dialogues also kick-starts the development of the groundbreaking Global First Nations Performance Network (GFNPN), a pilot initiative focused on cultural change through the commissiong, touring, and presenting of Indigenous performance and building demand and capacity for the same within the presenting sector.

Legendary Downtown trendsetter Raven O, the oh-so-colorful avatar of the downtown performance art scene, raises our throbbing spirits on New Year's Eve in a shape-shifting, champagne-soaked cabaret celebration at Pangea! With the help of the acclaimed bassist Ben Allison, Raven O stirs up his witch's brew of sultry song and restless commentary, not once but twice, in back-to-back shows at 8pm and 10:30pm. Both shows are generously priced: $125 for the early show and $165 for the late show. In both cases, tickets include a delicious 3-course dinner, and a half-bottle of Cava per person. A separate a la carte menu will be served in the front dining room, independent of the performance, from 5:00 pm until midnight. Join us in either room for our Midnight Countdown! The Tell-Tale Heart marks Tamara Lawrance's third appearance at the National Theatre. Reuniting with writer Anthony Neilson, Tamara gives us an insight into his rehearsal rooms, how they've adapted originally a six page story, and what audiences can expect from the play.

Accomplished writer/producer Eunetta T. Boone has joined Disney Channel's hit sitcom 'Raven's Home' as executive producer and showrunner for its third season. She most recently was a consultant on the series, working closely with its executive producer and star Raven-Symoné. Emmy®-nominated writer/producer Warren Hutcherson ('Dr. Ken,' 'The Bernie Mac Show') also joins the creative team as co-executive producer for the series. Production for season three is underway and will premiere in 2019.

Actress and Singer Christina Bennington today announces two special guests to join her this January for her debut London concerts at Crazy Coqs, Brasserie Zédel. Danielle Steers, who currently shares the stage with Christina in Bat Out of Hell, and Daniel Buckley, who appeared in Eugenius! The Musical at The Other Palace, will join her on stage for both shows on Monday January 7th 2019, 7pm and 9.15pm.

The Vancouver International Dance Festival (VIDF) proudly announces its breathtaking 2019 festival season, showcasing a three-week-long program replete with exhilarating performances by both internationally revered artists and lauded Vancouver performers, engaging workshops, and a plethora of interactive dance activities, March 8 to 30, 2019 at various venues throughout Vancouver. An Irish songstress with an enviable range, Christina will be treating Zedel's audiences to a selection of the best of musical theatre through the ages at two concerts in their intimate Crazy Coqs venue on Monday January 7th 2019, 7pm and 9.15pm.

IRON MAIDEN will bring the Legacy Of The Beast Tour to North America in 2019 for an extensive series of arena and amphitheater shows produced by Live Nation, including a first ever headline appearance at the Banc of California Stadium in LA. The tour will cover a total of 33 cities right across the U.S.A. and Canada, including Portland, Oregon where they haven't played since 1987 on the Somewhere In Time Tour, Hartford, Connecticut where they last played in 2005, and many other places not visited since the Maiden England 2012/13 Tour. A show representative tells us that the tour will be postponed until 2019. 'The tour will now launch in 2019 with stops in St. Paul, Dallas, and Washington D.C. ahead of the previously announced run at New York City Center which will begin performances, as previously announced, on Tuesday, July 30,' says a rep. 'The production is working with everyone involved to reschedule and news about the North American tour will be announced soon.'

Dutch quartet Mozes and the Firstborn has announced a Winter U.S. tour in conjunction with their new album, Dadcore, which will arrive January 25, 2019 on Burger Records.  The run of dates kicks off January 23 in San Diego and runs through February 25 in Phoenix, with Spanish trio The Parrots joining for most (all dates below).  Leading up to the Dadcore release, Mozes and the Firstborn has been releasing singles from the record in 2018, including the recent “If I” and “Sad Supermarket Song”, which already has over to 500k streams on all DSPs.

Just days after announcing a run of Bat Out of Hell - The Musical in New York City at City Center, which would come on the heels of its national tour, BWW has learned that the tour has been canceled. 

The producers have announced Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical, the critically acclaimed, thrilling new musical based on one of the best-selling albums of all time, will play an eight-week engagement at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street) as part of its North American tour, which is currently at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre and officially launches next week at Detroit's Fox Theatre.

Netflix has announced the additional cast of 'Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City,' which stars Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis, Ellen Page and Barbara Garrick.

The Cincinnati May Festival announces the program details for the 2019 Festival with seven unique concert programs taking place between May 15 and 25, 2019, and an additional performance on April 14, 2019. Joining the Festival's artistic leadership team of Principal Conductor Juanjo Mena, now in his second season, and Director of Choruses Robert Porco are Creative Partners Roomful of Teeth, a celebrated vocal ensemble, and acclaimed composer Sir James MacMillan for the 2019 Festival. Music Director Laureate James Conlon also returns to the May Festival for the first time since 2016, and Craig Hella Johnson makes his May Festival debut leading the Vocal Arts Ensemble. The annual May Festival features the May Festival Chorus and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and is programmed to inspire audiences with fresh collaborations while also drawing on its rich tradition as Cincinnati's longest running arts organization. Cincinnati's Music Hall was originally built for the May Festival in 1878.

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group, along with PR company Media Exchange and Discovery Suites Manila, formally introduced the lead cast of the international premiere of the Broadway smash musical 'Waitress' yesterday, October 18, 2018.

Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (Set), Matt Daw (Lighting) and Christopher Shutt (Sound). Goodman Theatre's limited engagement of St. Nicholas appears January 9 - 27, 2019 in the Owen Theatre (170 N. Dearborn).
