Door Shakespeare has announced their summer production: Hamlet by William Shakespeare, adapted by Guy Roberts, Artistic Director of the Prague Shakespeare Company. 

For one weekend only, see a recorded performance of Kentucky Shakespeare's postponed spring tour of HAMLET! After canceling all of the company's parks tour dates for April and May of this year, they have remounted the show for one recorded performance only. Award-winning Kelly's Filmworks filmed on the C. Beginning today, six brand new plays, inspired by this year's theme: 'Private Lives,' will be selected through an open submission process to premiere alongside commissions from Jeremy O. St. Ann's Warehouse, responding to popular demand nearly two months before performances begin, has extended the celebrated Gate Theatre Dublin production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Yaël Farber and featuring Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga (Loving, AMC's 'Preacher'), in a 'mesmerizing' (Irish Times) American stage debut, as the Dane. With Farber's direction and text edit, the focus shifts from Hamlet's anguish and identity to the force of resistance against the raw usurpation of power. The production, which begins February 1, 2020, will now play an additional week, through March 8, 2020.

A strong cast presents an excellent Unicorn production of a very new play, Bernhardt/Hamlet, A Woman Unbounda by Theresa Rebeck. Bernhardt/Hamlet is a smart, comedic, reasonably accurate portrait of a middle-aged, financially strapped, giant of the nineteenth century French stage still with her powers intact, but with a paucity of mountains she still desires to climb.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of What You Are, a Globe-commissioned new play by JC Lee and the second show in the 2018-2019 Season developed in the Powers New Voices Festival. Directed by Patricia McGregor, What You Are will run May 30 - June 30, 2019 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run May 30 - June 5.
