PITTSBURGH CLO is pleased to welcome a collection of writing teams from across the country to Pittsburgh for the inaugural SPARK festival in March. These teams were chosen from a highly-selective submissions process and will have the opportunity to rehearse and revise their work in residencies ranging from two days to three weeks. SPARK will provide dramaturgy and production resources to 10 new musicals at all stages of development, in addition to the world premiere of UP AND AWAY. As a part of the development period, eight of the musicals will receive public presentations through which the writing teams can gather audience insights and focus their intentions for the next phase of development. A major initiative of Pittsburgh CLO's recently completed Next Generation Capital Campaign, SPARK is designed to cultivate new and innovative work from emerging and established musical theater artists.

The Unicorn Theatre announces the appointment of Justin Audibert as the company's new Artistic Director. Justin will take up the position in summer '18, taking over from Purni Morell who steps down as Artistic Director this spring after nearly seven years in the role.

The gathering honored the legacy of novelist Philip K. Dick with over 40 presentations of independent science fiction films, ?seven of which were commended for their advances in cinematic excellence. The festival was held in Cologne, Germany at Filmclub 813 e.V. from October 27-28, 2017 and in Lille, France at L'Hybride from November 2-3, 2017.

The 2018 Adelaide Festival program will launch on Tuesday 24 October 2017 at the Adelaide Town Hall. In celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach 2017, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami will showcase How to Unlock a Portal by Swedish artist Jacob Fell nder. Fell nder is internationally recognized for his collections of large scale manipulated photographs of cityscapes. This will be his first solo exhibition and debut in the U.S. The exhibition will run from December 7, 2017 February 11, 2018. Art Basel Miami Beach will take place from December. 7 10, 2017.
