Twenty years have passed and Alex P. Keaton, now running for Congress, returns to his parents' Columbus home with his sisters, Mallory and Jennifer, who are parents of their own. Gathered together once again, they relive some of the most important moments from their childhood - the growing pains, heartbreaks and reconciliations - with fondness and appreciation for simpler times that defined a generation.

The preview performance of Family Ties is Thursday, June 1. Opening night is Friday, June 2, and the production runs through June 25 at The Human Race's home at downtown Dayton's Loft Theatre.

Black Public Media's acclaimed documentary series AfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange is back in 2020 for its 12th season! Dedicated to telling real-life stories of culture, art and life from across the African Diaspora, AfroPoAfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange returns in January for its 12th season, exploring stories of modern life in the African Diaspora with a slate of documentaries journeying through Brazil, Nigeria, Turkey, South Africa, the U.S., Liberia and beyond. Premiering on WORLD Channel at 8 p.m. ET/ 10 p.m. PT on Monday, January 20, 2020, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the season opens with Joel Zito Araújo's My Friend Fela, an exploration of music, liberation and the enduring ties of the Pan-African family. New episodes of AfroPoP — which remains the nation's only public television documentary series dedicated to life, art and culture from across the African Diaspora — will debut every Monday through February 17. Executive produced by Black Public Media (BPM), the series is co-presented by distributor American Public Television (APT), which will release it to public television stations nationwide on February 6, 2020. On Friday, October 18, 2019, the award-winning Tesla Quartet (Ross Snyder & Michelle Lie, violins; Edwin Kaplan, viola; Serafim Smigelskiy, cello) releases its second album, Joy & Desolation, on Orchid Classics. The record features performances of Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K581; Gerald Finzi's Five Bagatelles arranged by Christian Alexander; John Corigliano's Soliloquy (1995); and Carolina Heredia's Ius in Bello (2014) with acclaimed clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein. The program on Joy & Desolation is all about contrasts: the duality of light and darkness, joy and despair, isolation and inclusion. Recorded at idyllic Wyastone, a retired concert hall nestled along the River Wye in England, the Tesla Quartet and Alexander Fiterstein used this recording as an opportunity to dive deeper into their art and to explore how they make music together.
