Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced the line-up of classic, contemporary, thought-provoking and entertaining new work that will comprise the Tony Award-winning regional theatre's 55th season, Tresnjak's final season as Artistic Director.

Celebrating ANASTASIA's first anniversary on Broadway, producers today announce the official North American tour will begin performances in Schenectady (Proctors Theatre) this October before visiting over 30 cities in its first year including Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco, with additional cities to be announced this spring. La MaMa, in association with The Assembly, presents the world premiere of SEAGULLMACHINE, created by The Assembly, conceived by Nick Benacerraf, co-directed by Jess Chayes (Lucille Lortel Award winner) and Nick Benacerraf, and text by Anton Chekhov, Heiner Muller and The Assembly. SEAGULLMACHINE runs from April 14 - 29, 2018 in a limited engagement at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and the Bowery in New York City. Previews begin April 14 for an April 16 opening.

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the Ars Nova production of the Obie Award winning play Small Mouth Sounds, written by Bess Wohl and directed by Tony nominee  Rachel Chavkin (Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812). In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six wildy dissimilar runaways from city life embark on a week-long silent retreat. Guided by an unseen guru and pledging a vow of silence, these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd. Both contemplative and funny, Small Mouth Sounds is a cleverly conceived and sharp observation of the pursuit of wellness and the achingly human need to connect.  Small Mouth Sounds will preview on March 13 and opens on March 14, 2018. The show will run for 24 performances through April 1, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). Have you heard? Anastasia has found it's two newest stars! Beginning Tuesday, March 27th, Zach Adkins will assume the role of "Dmitry" and Vicki Lewis will join the company as "Countess Lily" in the hit Broadway musical ANASTASIA. Adkins is an original member of the Broadway company, currently appearing on stage at the Broadhurst Theatre in the ensemble. A perennial favorite, Lewis returns to the Broadway stage after starring in Chicago, Damn Yankees, and many more.

Derek Klena and Caroline O'Connor will play their final performance as "Dmitry" and "Lily," respectively, in the hit Broadway musical ANASTASIA on March 25, 2018. Klena and O'Connor are original members of the Broadway company.

HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. The concerts are free for all ticketholders for that evening's performance.

PRIMARY STAGES presents the World Premiere of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, which opened last night at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014) on January 31, 2018. A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ will play a limited run through March 4, 2018.

Artists Rep presents The Holler Sessions, written, directed and performed by Frank Boyd in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based theatre ensemble, the TEAM. This one-weekend, limited engagement production is the second of Artists Rep's 2017/18 FRONTIER SERIES that brings new work in performance to Portland. The Holler Sessions will run for only four performances March 8 through March 11, 2018.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Oklahoma! is making its way back to New York. St. Ann's Warehouse and Eva Price will present a limited run of the Bard SummerScape production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, directed by Daniel Fish.

There's a new school in town and it's revolutionizing the way musical theatre students receive an education. Andrew Drost and Michael Minarik are the masterminds behind the Institute for American Musical Theatre, a school that is all about getting students out onto stages working under the lights of Broadway theatres. Take the Lead Dance Project will have everyone swinging in the aisles with free dance lessons before the show. Sara Bareilles is staying at the diner! The producers of Broadway's smash Waitress announced today that Tony and Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles, the composer and lyricist of the hit musical, will extend her engagement as the titular pie-maker, Jenna Hunterson, to March 11, 2018. Until February 11, she'll share the stage with two-time Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz as the charming Dr. Pomatter.

The producers of Broadway's Waitress made an auspicious announcement today, National Pie Day. Beginning on February 1, Broadway's Waitress will celebrate Valentine's Day for an entire month when they add a new flavor to the selection of mouth-watering pies sold during performances inside the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The show's pie consultant Stacy Donnelly, has created the 'Berry-Sweet Valentine's Day Cheesecake,' a cheesecake flavored pie with a hint of lemon and raspberries on top.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica and Eva Price present Small Mouth Sounds by Drama Desk Award winner Bess Wohl (Pretty Filthy), and directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) for three weeks only, January 11 through 28 with a press opening on January 12.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker (www.hiphopnutcracker.com), a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky's timeless music, hits the road this holiday season to 28 U.S. cities. The show will perform in Rochester at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre for one night only on December 20! Produced by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with Executive Producer, Eva Price, and co-commissioned by the United Palace of Cultural Arts, The Hip Hop Nutcracker will feature Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, opening the show in most cities with a short set before rapping the introduction.

Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues in December with a production of Striking 12 - an un-holiday holiday musical by Brendan Millburn, Rachel Sheinkin and Valeria Vigoda. Directed by Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director Ilana Becker with music direction by R.L. Rowsey and Grant Carey, this magical New Year's themed concert-theatre hybrid will run Dec. 14-30, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, followed by a special New Year's Eve fundraiser performance and celebration on Dec. 31.
