TheaterWorks announced final casting today for RAGING SKILLET by Jacques Lamarre the 5th show of TheaterWorks 31st Season.

The Gateway will take Long Island by storm at The Patchogue Theatre with the international smash hit Mamma Mia!, and will dazzle the audience from July 19th through August 5th.  Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!, is based on the songs of ABBA and has broken box office records worldwide having been seen by more than 60 million people.  With non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers, the show features hit songs that include "Super Trouper," "Dancing Queen," "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Take a Chance on Me," "Thank You for the Music," "Money, Money, Money," "The Winner Takes It All," and "SOS."

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting for the Tony Award-winning musical Guys and Dolls in the Quadracci Powerhouse this September 19 - October 29. 

'A Whole New World' kicks off the summer youth program with Aladdin JR., based on the iconic animated film and featuring an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. Soar to new heights on a magical, flying carpet ride filled with romance, adventure and hilarious hijinks. When street urchin Aladdin vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie and more beloved characters come to life in this fantastical musical that celebrates the power of love and friendship. Aladdin JR. is directed and choreographed by Carolanne Marano, with Musical Direction by Miriam Arichea. The production opens July 7 and runs for 5 performances only through July 9.

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which began performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. Opening night is set for tonight, June 24 at 8pm.

Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works) presents the Leonard Bernstein classic, CANDIDE, based on Voltaire's satire on the follies of the human race, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston, June 3 through 11. A 24-piece orchestra accompanies the well-known songs "Glitter and Be Gay," "The Best of All Possible Worlds" and "Make Our Garden Grow."

Broadway favorites Tom Wopat (A Catered Affair, Annie Get Your Gun) and Kyle Dean Massey (Pippin, Next to Normal, Wicked) will perform in Hattiesburg, Miss. during Festival South, an annual creative arts festival, June 1-17. Celebration Theatre presents under the artistic direction of Michael Matthews & Michael A. The Merola Opera Program launches its 60th Anniversary season on Sunday, June 11 with a Benefit Gala at City Hall and a concert immediately following at Herbst Theatre in San Francisco, featuring some of the acclaimed Merola program's most illustrious participants. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2016/2017 season with a musical saga of immigrant America, Rags. From the creators of Fiddler on the Roof and Wicked, this exhilarating musical follows the journey of Jewish immigrants Rebecca and her son David, who find themselves navigating the teeming, turn-of-the-century tenements of New York. A soaring, tuneful score (music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz) illuminates this sweeping saga (book by Joseph Stein) of dreams and disillusions, love lost and inspiration found, and the heart and soul of the American character. It was declared "A winner, warm and witty. You are tempted to rise cheering," by The Mercury News. Rags will be directed by TheatreWorks Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, who notes "this production could not be timelier. As America debates immigration policies, what better time to present this deeper look at the newcomer's experience." Bucks County Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler announced additional casting for the Oscar Hammerstein Festival's Benefit concert, 'Hammerstein in Hollywood,' at Bucks County Playhouse on Saturday, April 22 at 8:00 pm.

The Muny announced today 21 principal cast members for its 99th season. Full company casting will be announced throughout April. The 2017 Muny season opens with Jesus Christ Superstar followed by Disney's The Little Mermaid and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The season continues with the premiere of All Shook Up! and a newly re- envisioned The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Season 99 closes with A Chorus Line and the much- anticipated Muny debut of Newsies.

Following critically acclaimed, sold-out runs at Don't Tell Mama and the 2016 New York Musical Festival (NYMF), Midnight at The Never Get, conceived by and starring Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, with book, music and lyrics by Mr. Sonnenblick, directed by Max Friedman (Ruby Manger Live!, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band), and produced by Michael Chase Gosselin (POPE! An Epic Musical, The Most Miserable Christmas Tree), will return home to Don't Tell Mama (342 West 46th Street) on Tuesday, March 14 at 8pm for a special one-night-only concert to celebrate receiving a 2017 Bistro Award for 'Book Musical,' and a 2017 MAC Award nomination for 'Show Of The Year.'
