Broadway actors Christine Toy Johnson and Jose Llana, in partnership with The Eastern Region Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of the Actors' Equity Association, held a sold-out, all Asian-American concert performance of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Tony Award-nominated musical 'Once On This Island' at the York Theatre in New York, NY on Sunday, May 16, 2010.

The Garden Theatre is pleased to present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat, running April 23-May 16, 2010, at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street, Historic Downtown Winter Garden). Writers' Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce the second extension of Oh Coward!, words and music by Noel Coward, devised by Roderick Cook. The production, which began its run in November 2009 is directed by Jim Corti, with musical direction by Doug Peck. The production has been extended through April 18, 2010, at Writers' Theatre, 664 Vernon Avenue in Glencoe.

The City of Cleveland Heights and Cain Park proudly announce that Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by Hugh Wheeler) opens Cain Park's 2010 season in the Alma Theater June 11-27 (preview June 10). Paul Gurgol, founder/artistic director of Kalliope Stage, directs this 1979 Tony Award-winning musical thriller with music direction by Jodie Ricci.

Starlight Theatre employees fanned out across the city yesterday to deliver 2010 Blue Star Award nominations to local high school theatre students and instructors. The good news of nominations in 20 Blue Star Award categories was delivered to high schools throughout the metropolitan area and outlying communities. On Thursday night, May 27, at Starlight, those nominees will find out whether they'll take home this year's top honors.
