Annually cited as the most popular supper club of its kind in Los Angeles, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA is pleased to announce that Broadway musical theatre stars Janet Krupin, Janene Lovullo, and Doug Carpenter & Jessica Keenan Wynn will make their cabaret concert debuts during May, 2010.

SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2010: Janet Krupin, winner of LA's Next Great Stage Star 2010 ... the most coveted title in Los Angeles musical theatre, makes her solo concert debut at Sterling's in Rhapsody in New with musical direction by Michael Alfera. Ms. Krupin, who wowed a panel of thirteen Los Angeles theatre industry professionals and an overall audience of 750 who judged six consecutive weeks of the theatre talent competition - was unanimously awarded ...Stage Star's 2010 title on January 10. As this year's winner, she received a $1000 cash prize; a paid headlining engagement at Sterling's Upstairs including a luxurious Suite, dinner for two at "Californias" Restaurant and an overnight stay at the famed Sheraton Universal Hotel located adjacent to Universal Studios. Additionally, Ms. Krupin received private auditions for three of the Southland's most prestigious producing organizations: Rigby/McCoy at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts; Cabrillo Music Theatre at the Fred Kavli Theatre/Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza; and Musical Theatre West at the Carpenter Center in Long Beach, CA. The week after her win, she was also awarded her first Equity Principal contract and a co-starring role in Bark! The Musical at the Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities at the Redondo Performing Arts Center. The 21 year old, soon-to-be (May 14) graduate of USC, promises a spectacular show of Broadway's most beloved songs like they've never been heard before. Seating for this special brunch/lunch matinee concert event is between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Show time is at 1:00 pm.

SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2010: Janene Lovullo - Following a self-imposed ten-year hiatus to raise a family, veteran Broadway star Janene Lovullo makes her return to the Los Angeles concert stage in You Are My World with Chris Marlowe serving as Musical Director. Among her many credits, highlights of Ms. Lovullo's Broadway appearances and National tours include portraying Grisabella in CATS, Fantine in Les Miserables, and The Pirates of Penzance. She is currently preparing to record her first CD with Chris Marlowe. Mr. Marlowe is best known for eight recordings with the legendary Nancy LaMott, winning Back Stage's BISTRO Award and a MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs) for Recording of The Year. He has co- produced, arranged, and musically directed 44 CD's and performed on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, The View, and Late Night with David Letterman. Dinner seating for this engagement is between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Show time is at 7:00 pm.

SUNDAY, MAY 30, 2010 - Doug Carpenter & Jessica Keenan Wynn - Two of Los Angeles' most dynamic new stars have joined forces for their debut at Sterling's.

Doug Carpenter began his career in opera earning a degree in voice from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and a Masters in Vocal Performance from UCLA. It wasn't until his second year of postgraduate studies that he realized his passion lay in musical theatre. Since appearing in various Los Angeles musical theatre productions such as Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, Oklahoma, The Last Five Years and Carousel and the 2010 re-charged, cutting edge production of Lerner & Lowe's Camelot at the historic Pasadena Playhouse, Mr. Carpenter has been compared to such Broadway leading men as John Raitt and Robert Goulet. Immediately following his May 2009 graduation from UCLA, Mr. Carpenter was hired to create the role of Skip in the long-running, smash hit musical LIfe Could Be A Dream at Hollywood's Hudson Theatre. He will recreate his role in the show this summer at the Laguna Beach Playhouse, followed by starring in Miss Saigon this fall at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista, CA, just north of San Diego. He is currently co-starring in the critically acclaimed west coast premiere musical of See What I Wanna See at The Blank Theatre in Hollywood.

Jessica Keenan Wynn is a recent graduate of UCLA's Ray Bolger Musical Theatre Program. Upon graduating, she originated the role of Lois in the multi-award winning show Life Could Be A Dream (LADCC Awards, LA Weekly Award, Garland Awards), written and directed by Roger Bean. She has done multiple workshops for new Disney musicals, including Villains Tonight, written by Hunter Bell (author) and Jeff Bowen (composer) and and stars of [title of show] which appeared on Broadway in 2008.) More recently, Ms. Wynn appeared in When You Wish, under the direction of Gordon Greenberg. She completed her last year at UCLA with a successful Spring run of Cole Porter's Anything Goes as leading lady, Reno Sweeney. Additional credits include Cathy in The Last 5 Years with Doug Carpenter, the role of Calypso in Mel Sharpiro's original musical Homer In Cyberspace, Eva Peron in Evita, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Mabel in Mack an Mabel, and Woman 2 in Songs for A New World. She has contributed her voice to multiple recordings, including an adaptation of Wuthering Heights, The Musical, written by actor Mark Ryan.

Attendance at Sterling's Upstairs is by reservation only: 818 754-8700. Package Prices are as follows: VIP Premium Package - $43 per person, inclusive of VIP reserved seating, a one-hour performance; and a $13 credit toward food and/or drink Chef's Special Sicilian dinner with a choice from three different entrees, plus a one-hour performance.

A limited number of General Admission Packages are also available at $31 per person, inclusive of general seating, a one-hour performance; and a credit of $13 toward food and/or beverage ordered from a limited General Admission menu. and the one hour performance.
