Sonia Sotomayor to Speak at AT&T Performing Arts Center

The AT&T Performing Arts Center and Interabang Books are pleased to announce an evening with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Wyly Theatre in the downtown Dallas Arts District to celebrate the release of her two new children's books, TURNING PAGES: My Life Story (available in English and Spanish) and THE BELOVED WORLD OF SONIA SOTOMAYOR. BRIC Announces Programming For Milestone 40th Anniversary Season

BRIC, the pioneering NYC arts-and-media organization and leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn, announces programming for its milestone 40th Anniversary season at BRIC House (September 2018-May 2019)-the organization's award-winning 40,000SF Downtown Brooklyn home. The season at BRIC House-its first under newly appointed BRIC President Kristina Newman-Scott-highlights the central idea that has animated BRIC's identity from the very beginning: that to create the future we want to see, artists must be supported in their role as civic leaders and citizens must be empowered to speak in their own creative voice. The season also deepens the organization's inclusive approach to both local and global discussions, and the places where they intersect.

Full Casting Announced For the World Premiere of WOMEN IN POWER

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST), Samuel Hodges, today announces full casting for the world premiere of Women in Power. NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.

Seattle Men's Chorus and Seattle Women's Chorus Announce 15th Season

The Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) leap into their 15th year of concerts with Hear Me Roar in October and the Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) wind down the season with Summer of '69, a musical commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Special surprise concert guests will be announced in the coming months.

Seattle Men's Chorus Honors British Rock and Pop on Pride Weekend

Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) takes the McCaw Hall stage on Pride weekend to honor 50 years of British rock and pop royalty in God Save the Queens. The British are coming! From the swinging '60s to today's biggest hits this British invasion is so lush and flashy it edges on revolutionary. God Save the Queens is a musical journey through the UK artists, generation by generation, that have reigned supreme, from The Beatles, Queen, and Elton John, to Coldplay, Adele and One Direction.
