THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the world premier of 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND: AN X-RATED MUSICAL FANTASY IN CONCERT.' The debut performance features an all-star cast, and celebrates the sensuously silly new musical adaptation of Bill Osco's 1976 musical film. Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Long Day's Journey Into Night  comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1. Richard Eyre's acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons(Brideshead Revisited, Reversal of Fortune,  'The Borgias') and Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Lesley Manville(Another Year,  'Harlots,' Phantom Thread). Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game, The Riot Club), Rory Keenan (BBC's 'War & Peace,' 'Peaky Blinders') and Jessica Regan (reprising the role as Cathleen from the 2016 Bristol Old Vic production) round out the ensemble cast.  

This summer, Theater at Monmouth celebrates wily, wicked, and wonderful women through classic literature's most fantastic females. In this spirit, TAM dedicates the 2018 Roar: The Year of the Woman Season to Nancy Bates Ludewig. For the residents of Monmouth that is exactly what "Nance" represented-a force of nature, an iron will, and a tremendous heart. If there was a need, she would fill it; from Neighbors Helping Neighbor's Fuel Fund fundraising events to the Monmouth Healthy Meals Backpack Program, from Mayfair and Garden Club to annual Christmas Shows in Cumston Hall, Nancy brought people together. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and BookBar Denver will host world-renowned author and speaker Temple Grandin on Monday, May 21, 2018, as part of the national tour for her new book Calling All Minds: How to Think andCreate Like an Inventor. Grandin's new book explores inventors and innovation through history, alongside hands-on activities.

By popular demand, the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture brings back its 'Mambo Memories' concert, a tribute to the Palladium Ballroom era of the 1950s with a performance featuring a wide array of singers and dancers on Saturday, April 21st, 7:30 PM in the Main Theater at the Hostos Center, Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse, in the Bronx. A dance follows at 9:30 PM in the Hostos Cafe with Salsa Warrior DJ Roy spinning mambo favorites.

The Arvada Center has announced its 2018-2019 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere play, two regional premieres, and a Broadway smash-hit. The season also marks the third year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory. The 2018-19 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.

Grammy Award winning legends Boy George and Culture Club have revealed plans for a major 2018 U.S. headline tour with the multi-platinum selling band The B-52s. Announced today, The Life Tour: starring Boy George & Culture Club and The B-52s with special guest Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey, will visit 40+ cities across the U.S. with a stop in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Thursday, September 6.

The first 2018 Seasonal Maui Outstanding Piano Amateurs Festival, February 16-18 was a complete delight for both artists and audience. The festival showcases the exceptional artistic talent of Maui residents with guest performances by others from neighboring islands. It is produced by Damira (Mira) Feldman, an internationally recognized pianist and educator, who moved to Maui one year ago. Ms. Mira Feldman has not only made her name in musical circles performing a variety of solo recitals, but she has established a reputation for her infectious enthusiasm and dedication to the art of the piano.

Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA) is proud to announce the fourth group of composers for Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire. Launched in 2015, Kronos' Fifty for the Future is an exciting partnership with Carnegie Hall and others to create 50 new works - by 25 women and 25 men - expressly for the training of students and emerging professionals. Each year, ten composers are announced. Final casting has been announced for the all-star reading of William Goldman's screenplay for All The President's Men scheduled to take place this Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the John Ferraro Council Chamber of Los Angeles City Hall.

Quality Hill Playhouse will pay tribute to Harold Arlen, the man who brought the blues to the Great American Songbook, in THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC, an original cabaret revue which opened on January 19.

Mixing the joy and melancholy for Cuba's past with the exuberant sounds of contemporary performance, the 17-piece Afro-Cuban All-Stars bring the next generation of Cuban music to life on stage. In addition, the evening will also feature The Soraya debut of the Havana-based Harold L pez-Nussa Trio, which will open the evening.

American Renaissance Theater Company Presents WinterWorks 2018: LOOK ME IN THE EYES, an engaging observation of couples and coupling taking place at the intimate Directors Studio of the Directors Company (311 West 43rd Street) starting January 24th and running through February 4th. In 1976, Thelonious Monk stepped off the bandstand at the Newport Jazz Festival and never set foot on the stage again. His closest circle of friends and family, bandmates and patrons remembered the last six years of his life, until his death at he age of 65 with a peculiar, spiritual insight. Monk simply stopped playing altogether. His musical soul had departed before his body finally succumbed to death in 1982, the very morning his go-to drummer Ben Riley began recording a tribute album in his name to try and tempt him to return to music.
