The stunning National Theatre production of Tony Kushner's Angels in America opens on Broadway tonight at the Neil Simon Theater.

The 2018 International Festival of Arts & Ideas will welcome back Mark Morris Dance Group for the New England premiere of Pepperland for two performances, June 21 and 22 at 8PM, at the Shubert Theater (247 College Street).

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA will officially close on January 28, 2018, after the presentation throughout Southern California of hundreds of concurrent exhibitions, programs, and events about Latin American and Latino art. Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the forthcoming exhibition, Magnetic Fields: Expanding American Abstraction, 1960s to Today, which will be on view at Kemper Museum June 8 through September 17, 2017, and will then travel to the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. Magnetic Fields is the first U.S. presentation dedicated exclusively to the formal and historical dialogue of abstraction by women artists of color. The exhibition has also garnered major support and merit through the reception of prestigious grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The exhibition is organized by Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, Missouri, and co-curated by Erin Dziedzic, director of curatorial affairs at Kemper Museum, and Melissa Messina, independent curator and curator of the Mildred Thompson Estate, Atlanta, Georgia.

Trudeau will unveil the piece May 15 at Pangea Supper Club, 178 Second Ave. (East Village), accompanied by her arranger, David Lahm on piano and by Ben Lapidus on guitar and percussion.
