The San Diego Symphony today announced its 2022-23 Jacobs Masterworks Classical concert season, offering 16 programs of classical and contemporary masterworks from October 1, 2022 through May 27, 2023. 

The Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater for Music and Dance announced today its Harris Theater Presents (HTP) season for 2022-23. On Friday, April 8, 2022, celebrated Armenian American sisters Ani (cello) and Marta (piano) Aznavoorian will release their debut duo album, Gems from Armenia, on Cedille Records. The Chicago-based Aznavoorian Duo celebrates the sounds of their ancestral homeland through a panoramic survey of Armenian classical music.

Barrington Stage Company will produce a 2022 season that will feature two Tony Award-winning musicals, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, four world premieres and one of the true absurdist masterpieces of 20th century theatre.

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.

In a return to producing full-scale musicals at the iconic Goodspeed Opera House, Goodspeed Musicals has announced four productions for the Tony Award-winning theatre’s 2022 season

'The Storm' was written in the mid-1920s by Clarence Kohlmann, who served as the organist in the Great Auditorium from 1924-1944. This rarely-heard piece follows a Civil War army unit as it marches and encamps with snippets of music from that era: 'Dawn' from the Peer Gynt Suite,' a bugle's reveille, 'America,' hymns and church bells, a funeral march.

The story of the boy who never grew up and his adventures with the Darling children in Neverland may be best known for the 1953 Disney animated film adaptation, but this beautiful and ageless tale has endured since Peter Pan’s first literary appearance in 1902.

Phoenix Chorale CEO Jen Rogers has announced she will step down from her position in January 2021 after nearly 15 years working with the organization. Rogers has served as the Chorale’s administrative leader since 2015, when she stepped in as CEO while serving as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. The Chorale’s Board of Directors has launched a plan to place an Interim CEO in advance of conducting a nationwide search for her successor in 2021.
