Amphibian Stage Productions is proud to continue its '‘Phibs at the Modern' series with a staged reading of Three Hotels by Jon Robin Baitz. Sharon Benge directs Michael Muller and Amber Devlin in this controversial work on September 13 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

A trailer recently premiered for the Philip Seymour Hoffman-helmed 'Jack Goes Boating.' This weekend, April 30-May 2, The New City Theatre is closing two shows, and opening a new one. Closing this weekend, are the productions THE SPRING AND FALL OF EVE ADAMS, written by Barbara Kahn, and DENIAL! TIME TO FACE THE MUSICAL, written by Nikki Jenkins. Opening this weekend is a new show from the Yangtze Repertory Theatre of America, LAUGHING IN THE WIND. A new play from Philip Suraci, author of the TNC hit 'Lysistrata's Children,' GENERATION (BU)Y, opens May 6th.

The cast is lead by Jill Paice (Curtains, The 39 Steps) as Florence Vassy, Euan Morton (Boy George in Taboo, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Anatoly Sergievsky and Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Rent) as Freddie Trumper. The rock musical is directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. Written by Mamma Mia! composers Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson with Evita and Lion King lyricist Tim Rice, the 1984 cult musical of Cold War competition in love and chess is being given its first major Washington area production. Chess is being performed in the fabulous intimacy of the 276-seat MAX Theatre.

Jonathan Pryce stars in The Caretaker, which concludes its run April 17. The production is the first West End run of the show since Harold Pinter's death in December last year. The Caretaker began at Trafalgar Studios January 12, and officially opened January 18, 2010.
