STAGE TUBE: Philip Seymour Hoffman's 'Jack Goes Boating' Film Premieres its Trailer

A trailer recently premiered for the Philip Seymour Hoffman-helmed 'Jack Goes Boating.' As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, Hoffman is making his directing debut with the Overture Films picture, an adaptation of Bob Glaudini's Off-Broadway play. 'Gone Baby Gone' star Amy Ryan co-stars opposite Hoffman, while John Ortiz and Daphne Rubin-Vega reprise their roles from the stage production. BroadwayWorld brings you a look at the trailer below!

JACK GOES BOATING premiered at Hoffman and Ortiz's LAByrinth Theater Co. in 2007.

Press notes described the play as "laced with cooking classes, swimming lessons and a smorgasbord of illegal drugs, JACK GOES BOATING is a story of date panic, marital meltdown, betrayal and the prevailing grace of the human spirit."

The film began production in New York City on Febuary 9, 2009.
