Arizona Broadway Theatre proudly adds another classic
play to its production roster. The Odd Couple, the Tony
Award-winning masterpiece by Neil Simon, had its debut
in 1965. Felix Ungar, a neurotic, neat freak news writer
– having been thrown out by his wife – moves in with
his friend Oscar Madison, a messy sportswriter. The
Broadway play ran for nearly 1,000 performances and
inspired not only a successful film, but also the TV series
starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman.
The Broadway community mourns the loss of Neil Simon, who passed away on August 26 at age 91. The Committee of Theatre Owners has decided to dim the lights of Broadway theatres in his memory on Thursday, August 30 at exactly 6:45pm for one minute.

RIFF represents the New England premiere for FALLING SOUTH and the world premiere for AN AFFAIR REMAINS.

In 1985, Neil Simon revised the original The Odd Couple for a female cast keeping the story line the same, but changing the leads to Florence Unger and Olive Madison and adjusting scenes like the poker game to Trivial Pursuit and the Pigeon sisters to the Costazuela brothers.

New City Players presents the comedy Twelfth Night (also known as What You Will) by William Shakespeare published in his 1623 First Folio. The first recorded performance was on February 2, 1602, at Candlemas, the formal end of Christmastide in the year's calendar. The play expands on plot elements drawn from the short story Of Apollonius and Silla by Barnabe Rich, based on a story by Matteo Bandello.
