51Fest, a partnership between Women in the World and IFC Center, continued its inaugural festival last night with screenings and discussions about women's stories. Saturday got to a rowdy start with the exciting documentary Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins, where director Janice Engel led the crowd in a rousing chant to get them into the Ivins' spirit. The film, which tells the incredible life of powerhouse Texas journalist Molly Ivins, who famously told the stories plaguing America with humor, passion, and grit, was followed by a conversation with director Janice Engel and actor Kathleen Turner, moderated by New York Times reporter Rachel Dry.

This jukebox musical, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, utilizes some of the bands biggest hits to tell the rise and fall of the iconic group of boys from New Jersey; including "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry," "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."

 In 1962, fifty-seven years ago, the magnificent TONY BENNETT recorded "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."  The song was honored with two Grammy Awards, including "Record of the Year" and gave Tony a signature tune that, as he delights in saying, has made him "A Citizen of the World."  Last March, the classic was entered into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress as "an aural treasure worthy of preservation." Now in 2019, and about to turn an ageless 93, the legendary performer -  himself a world treasure - continues to leave his heart in each song that he sings and in every aspect of his life.

A Noise Within (ANW), California's acclaimed classic repertory theatre, is proud to present Argonautika, an epic theatrical journey full of human emotion by Tony Award-winning director and playwright Mary Zimmerman. ANW Producing Artistic Director Julia Rodriguez-Elliott will direct Zimmerman's work for the first time. Argonautika, which made its world premiere in 2006 at Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre that Zimmerman is a member of, runs from March 20 through May 5. Previews begin March 20 and press opening night is March 23.
